Description
Acara Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Shipping/Receiving Assistant to join our logistics team in Scottsdale, AZ.
Shipping/Receiving Assistant
The ideal candidate will assist with the accurate and timely processing of incoming and outgoing shipments,
maintain inventory records, and ensure compliance with company and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Receive, inspect, and process incoming shipments; verify contents against purchase orders and packing slips
* Prepare and package outgoing shipments, ensuring proper labeling, documentation, and carrier scheduling
* Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS)
* Assist with loading and unloading delivery trucks using appropriate equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts)
* Communicate with vendors, carriers, and internal teams to resolve shipping discrepancies or delays
* Ensure work areas are clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
* Collaborate with team members to meet daily shipping and receiving goals
* Other tasks as deemed necessary
What you'll get:
Contract: Temp-Hire
Pay rate: $17.00-$19.00 p/hr.
Shift: 1st shift 9am-5:30 or 6pm
Days: Monday-Friday
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent
* 1+ year experience in a mailroom, shipping/receiving, or logistics role preferred
* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
* Basic computer skills; familiarity with shipping software a plus
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Ability to lift packages up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks throughout the day
