Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work ON-SITE with our client in Rochester, NY. Interested?
Here's what you'd do:
- The Quality Engineer (QE) will support Engineering Validation Testing (EVT) for spacecraft involving Thermal Vacuum, Dynamic, Propulsion, and EMI testing.
- Ensure adherence to applicable procedures and Customer contract requirements during the EVT campaign.
- Verify that the test setup configuration, test equipment calibration, and flight software versions are current to support pre-test meetings.
- Support post-test meetings by verifying all sign-offs are complete, all requirements have been met, and all test flags or nonconformances have been dispositioned appropriately.
- Document and facilitate the timely disposition of nonconformances (NCs) and test flags through TIPQA/JIRA systems.
- Support operational tasks, including solar array integration and testing, installations, bus movements, and other activities.
- Participate in daily planning and update meetings with the customer to communicate quality issues and resource needs.
- Collaborate with Test Engineering, Systems Engineering, and the QE team to resolve issues and ensure smooth test execution.
- Facilitate cross-functional Root Cause Corrective Actions (RCCA) as needed.

Hours: 40 hrs/Week. (1st shift).

- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Quality Engineering, preferably in Aerospace.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in industry quality standards, Quality Management System (QMS) Procedures, and Customer contract requirements.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in RCCA facilitation.
- AS9100/ISO9001.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, including technical presentation skills.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and electrical schematics.
- Proficiency with computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project).
- Experience with Engineering Validation Testing.
