Acara Solutions is seeking highly qualified Cloud Network Administrators to join our client's onsite team in Arlington, TX.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure, support, and monitor LAN, WLAN, WAN, and VoIP infrastructure across local and global operations.
- Perform network maintenance, installation, and user training to ensure high performance and reliability.
- Support the expansion of private and public cloud services, including Azure Government (Azure-Gov) and AWS Government (AWS-G).
- Contribute to the deployment of DoD-compliant cloud environments (PaaS, IaaS, SaaS) with a focus on scalability and security.
- Act as a subject matter expert in cloud network administration, staying current with emerging technologies and trends.
- Design and document network, storage, and compute architectures ensuring NIST 800.171 and CMMC compliance.
- Manage and maintain network security systems, including firewalls, VPNs, load balancers, and SD-WAN appliances.
- Administer and enhance network monitoring systems such as Syslog servers, DNS security, and CASB platforms.
- Plan and implement software/hardware updates and system enhancements to improve performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with internal IT teams on hybrid and multi-tenant infrastructure initiatives.
- Participate in Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity planning and testing.
- Exercise independent judgment in planning, scheduling, and executing IT network projects.
- Provide cross-training and technical guidance to team members while ensuring compliance with security policies.
- Maintain strict data protection and information handling standards in accordance with company and government requirements.
- Be available on-call 24/7 for critical network support issues as needed.

Job Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 4 years of experience in support and maintenance of complex network environments including cloud-based network segmentation/security appliances
- Minimum 3 years of DoD experience
- Cisco CCNA Cloud or CCNA Route & Switch required, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Cloud+ certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven experience in cloud network administration and hybrid infrastructure support.
- Hands-on experience with Azure-Gov and AWS-Gov environments.
- Strong understanding of LAN/WAN/WLAN, firewalls, VPNs, routing/switching, and VoIP systems.
- Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity requirements, NIST 800.171, and CMMC compliance.
- Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.
- In depth Knowledge of Cisco Firewalls, Routers, Layer 2/3 Switches and VLANs as well as Wireless technologies.
- Deep understanding of Layer2/Layer3 network stack.
- Possess knowledge and ability to configure and troubleshoot routing, switching, and VoIP, particularly within a Cisco environment.
- Knowledge of protocols EIGRP, OSPF, HSRP, G.729, G.711, RTP, SIP, H.323, MGCP, T.38 and other routing, gateway load balancing, and VoIP-related protocols.
- Familiarity of Load Balancers (BigIP F5, Citrix NetScaler).
- Familiarity of SD-WAN devices (SilverPeak).
- Knowledge of IT Security policies as they pertain to NIST 800.171 and Security Information and Event Manager (SIEM).
- Troubleshooting skillset for LAN/WAN network and application issues on premise and cloud appliances.
- Knowledge of Network Services such as DNS, IPAM, (S)FTP, TFTP, LDAP, SMTP, and DHCP.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure Monitoring tools using SNMP, Netflow, and Syslog.
- Knowledge of 802.1x and certificates.
- Innovation/creativity, managing/working with others, project/process management, accountability.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and problem-solving ability.
- Learn and adopt best practices in Network Management.
- Ability to interface well with CAE users and customers at all levels.
- Ability to interface and work well with CAE Global IT Administrators.
Additional Information:
- Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
- Be able to work overtime, on and off shifts as needed.
- Employee is regularly needed to sit, talk or hear, in person, in meetings and by telephone.
- Manual dexterity to operate computers or other standard office equipment and reach with hands and arms.
- Able to support rack-mounted equipment (up to 7 feet off the ground).

- Successful candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret DoD security clearance.
