Responsibilities:
- This individual will have daily duties and responsibilities. They will have to follow a detailed Preventative Maintenance and Food Defense Program schedule and fill out the proper documentation.
- The Plant is a 24/7 operation and may be required to rotate shifts and or be on call to keep production machines on-line.
- Keeping the building running safely and smoothly
Initiative and Creativity:
- The department is always encouraged to take initiative and creativity throughout the Plant; there are always strong Safety ideas and machine efficiencies ideas that come from maintenance departments. These ideas can be brought to life by building in-house using their skills and knowledge.
Reporting Relationships:
- The employee will report to maintenance manager for daily instructions and project work.
- A Plant Manager, Supervisor may ask for assistance from the maintenance department and we are there to serve and make their jobs easier.
Physical Effort Requirements:
- At times requires light to heavy lifting. 5-75 lbs
- Crawling and getting into tight spaces to make repairs and troubleshoot.
- Working at heights with proper training and equipment.
- Working longer than 8 hours or being called in after hours to make repairs.
Environment:
- Walking, kneeling and laying on concrete at times.
- Not much sitting.
- Some areas are noisier than others and can be very hot in the summer.
- Can be extremely cold in the winter if up on the roof making repairs, Workers are provided the proper clothing for everyday situations as well as winter suits for working outside.
Mental Effort Requirements:
- Safety is #1. Keeping a fresh mind.
- Don't put your self or anyone else in danger.
