Description
Acara Solutions is looking for a Molder to work for our Partner located in Santa Rosa, CA who specializes in Oil & Gas Equipment Manufacturing.
Here is what you will get:
Shift: 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM
Training: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (1–3 weeks)
Type: Contract-to-Hire (potential conversion at 5–6 months)

Pay Rate: $20-$24/hr DOE
Position Summary
Under minimal supervision, the molder uses machine tools, hand tools, and measuring instruments to strip cables and prepare materials into final products. This role requires reading drawings, procedures, and work instructions to ensure all work meets quality and production standards. The technician performs visual inspections, maintains production data, and ensures products are ready for shipment to customers.
Responsibilities:
- Use hand tools and measuring devices (ruler, tape measure, diagonal cutters, pneumatic crimpers, thermocouple, durometer) to measure, cut, and mold materials.
- Read and interpret engineering blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
- Perform basic math, including addition and subtraction of fractions and decimal measurements
- Conduct visual inspections to ensure adherence to workmanship and BIW specifications
- Maintain accurate production records in SAP and related data logs.
- Work in a warehouse environment, standing for prolonged periods (up to 2-hour increments).
- Flex between workstations as needed
- Operate heat presses to mold rubber as required for product specifications.
Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
- Minimum of a High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.
- Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, fractions, and decimals.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools and measuring devices.
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs regularly.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to follow instructions accurately.
