About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and strategic Head of E-commerce to lead the next phase of our online growth and own the E-commerce P&L. This role will oversee the evolution of our digital commerce ecosystem - expanding our product range, enhancing customer experience, and testing a managed marketplace model to complement our core brands offering.

You'll own the growth and profitability of the e-commerce business unit, leading the e-commerce and performance marketing function, and working cross-functionally across category management, supply chain, platform & engineering, customer success, sales and brand marketing, to build a high-performing e-commerce platform that rapidly grows our e-commerce business and builds our brand net in focus markets.

Key Responsibilities

E-Commerce Strategy & Growth

● Own the E-commerce P&L and be responsible for the execution and performance of the E-commerce Business Unit strategy

● Identify new commercial opportunities/product categories as we aggressively expand and improve both the brand categories and range, and test, validate and expand the managed marketplace offering and other evolutionary initiatives.

● Define and execute the e-commerce roadmap and initiatives that improve and simplify the customer journey, while adding customer value.

● Develop and maintain a clear and robust analytics and reporting infrastructure to enable data-driven insights and optimize e-commerce performance.

Performance marketing and digital acquisition efforts

● Managing the performance marketing team, strategy and spend across paid search, paid social, various AI platforms, and retargeting to drive efficient traffic and conversion growth.

● Plan and execute the strategy for pricing, merchandising, and promotional planning to achieve the business objectives

● Establish KPIs and performance metrics and provide routine trading reporting

Managed Marketplace Development & Vendor Management

● Oversee the end-to-end managed marketplace model, from working with Category Management on vendor identification and onboarding, to working with Supply Chain on fulfillment and service standards.

● Develop policies, commercial terms, and operational workflows for managed marketplace vendors

● Partner with engineering, operations and supply chain teams to ensure marketplace integration into the existing tech stack and logistics infrastructure.

Customer Experience & Digital Operations

● Champion onbrand customer experience across web and mobile, ensuring alignment with brand standards and conversion best practices.

● Oversee merchandising, UX optimization, personalization, and content strategies that drive engagement and sales.

● Oversee the E-commerce CRM and optimize acquisition, retention, and loyalty.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

● Build and mentor a high-performing e-commerce team

● Collaborate closely with senior business leaders to achieve the e-commerce business unit growth whilst achieving the overall business objectives

● Represent the digital channel in executive planning and budgeting cycles.

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

● 8+ years in e-commerce or digital retail, with at least 3 in a senior leadership role, and startup growth experience

● Proven success scaling online sales and launching or managing a marketplace model (either 1P/3P hybrid or fully managed), or similar.

● Strong background in performance marketing, digital acquisition, and data-driven growth.

● Deep understanding of e-commerce KPIs, tools, and performance optimization levers.

● Experience in vendor management, commercial negotiations, and cross-functional leadership.

● Understanding of fulfillment, logistics, and operations within a multi-vendor environment.

● Excellent communication skills and the ability to work across creative, commercial, and technical teams.
