Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work onsite with our client in Bethesda, MD. Interested?
Here's what you'd do:
- Perform a variety of duties in support of end users for IT hardware and/or software.
- Basic technical certification, hardware repair, component-level knowledge, operating systems (Windows, Unix/Linux, application knowledge, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Install and configure network devices (i.e., network printers, scanners, plotters, PCs, etc.).
- Troubleshoot problems with network printing and scanning devices. Perform data termination/ activation in telecommunication closets, also known as network connections (activation of data drops).
- Assist in the relocation of customer employees to the facility (move PCs and activate data drops in the new location).
- Troubleshoot network issues with PCs and LAN (duplex mismatches, duplicate IPs, corrupt firewall software, proxy configuration issues, etc.).
- Demonstrate excellent customer service.
- Set up and configure PCs and AV/VTC equipment.
Here's what you'll get:
Pay: $38.75/hr.
Hours: 5x8, Monday-Friday.
Length: Contract (12m+ with opportunity of extension).

- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an AV Technician.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with AV/VTC equipment, including Crestron Room Control and Cisco VTC.
- Minimum of 2 years of technical experience, consisting of operating systems such as Windows, Unix/Linux, and Apple.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with deliveries, terminations, and setups.
- You are a self-starter and able to work independently or with a team's help.
- You have a customer service-driven mindset and are comfortable supporting end users directly.
- You are comfortable with live room debugging.
Additional Information:
- Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
- In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be needed to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the necessary employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
- Possible lifting may be needed up to 50 lbs.
- Able to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance.
