Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work onsite with our client in Oldsmar, FL. Interested?
Here's what you'd do:
- Use a microscope to verify correct part placement and orientation, manually align parts before soldering, and perform post-re-flow inspection and touch-up.
- Identify and touch up poor wetted solder joints, solder voids / insufficient solder, solder shorts/ bridges, misaligned parts/leads, tombstone or billboarded components, and any other solder defects that may occur during the SMT (Surface-Mount Technology) operation.
Here's what you'll get:
Pay: $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
Hours: 4/10-1st Shift.
Length: Temp (12 Months).

- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in soldering.
- Minimum of 5 years experience using rework equipment such as hot air pencils, hot plates, and BGA (Ball Grid Array) removal (ERSA (Spare parts) or other OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer)).
- Minimum of 5 years experience reviewing boards under X-ray (X-radiation) to identify solder defects on bottom terminated components.
- Minimum of 5 years experience with surface mount components.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in IPC-A-610 and IPC-J-STD.
- Minimum of 5 years experience with Blueprint Reading.
- IPC-610 Certification.
- IPC J-STD-001 Certification.
- Experience running, and tacking down jumper wires on re-design boards.
- Familiar with using Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) equipment to aid in identifying solder defects and understand false calls vs. actual calls or issues.
- Able to read instructions and identify standard SMT (Surface-Mount Technology) components.
- Be an extraordinary solder technician or operator who has used re-work equipment.
- Basic Computer Skills.
- Able to read/write in English.
