Required Skills / Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in soldering.
- Minimum of 5 years experience using rework equipment such as hot air pencils, hot plates, and BGA (Ball Grid Array) removal (ERSA (Spare parts) or other OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer)).
- Minimum of 5 years experience reviewing boards under X-ray (X-radiation) to identify solder defects on bottom terminated components.
- Minimum of 5 years experience with surface mount components.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in IPC-A-610 and IPC-J-STD.
- Minimum of 5 years experience with Blueprint Reading.
- IPC-610 Certification.
- IPC J-STD-001 Certification.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
- Experience running, and tacking down jumper wires on re-design boards.
- Familiar with using Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) equipment to aid in identifying solder defects and understand false calls vs. actual calls or issues.
- Able to read instructions and identify standard SMT (Surface-Mount Technology) components.
- Be an extraordinary solder technician or operator who has used re-work equipment.
- Basic Computer Skills.
- Able to read/write in English.
