Acara Solutions is seeking highly qualified candidates to work onsite with our client in Rockford, TN. Interested?
Here's what you'd do:
- Initially, a support role for existing demand planners.
- Over time, may take on specific product planning responsibilities as they learn.
- Core tasks align with the job description:
- Develop and maintain production schedules.
- Plan materials and manage inventory.
- Utilize the Maximum Retail Price (MRP) system for forecasting and planning purposes.
- Prepare requisitions for materials/components.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and procurement teams.
- Team & Collaboration
- Works with:
- Two other demand planners.
- Finance team.
- Shipping/receiving and stockroom personnel.
- Production supervisors and associates.
- Communication and teamwork are critical.
- Develop & maintain production schedules to ensure timely delivery of product.
- Plan materials to ensure optimal inventory levels are maintained.
- Utilize the Maximum Retail Price (MRP) system to forecast demand, plan production, and manage inventory, with a solid understanding of production planning principles.
- Prepare requisitions to obtain necessary materials & components.
- Collaborate with the manufacturing team to ensure deadlines are met.
- Collaborate with the purchasing/procurement team to ensure supplier timeliness.
- Comply with all company regulations and safety standards, following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)/Measurement Performance Indicators (MPIs)
- Support of Research and Development (R&D) new product releases from the Research and Development (R&D) phase through release to production

- Pay rate: $24.00/Hour
- Hours: 40 Hours/Week 1st Shift
- Length: Contract (11 Months)

- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 2 years of Production scheduling experience
- Minimum of 2 years of Manufacturing planning experience
- SAP experience (Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system used by the company).
- Inventory control background.
- Experience with other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (Oracle)
- Knowledge of the bill of materials
- Product phase in/ phase out knowledge
- Microsoft Excel & Word proficiency (spreadsheets and documentation).
- Attention to detail and accuracy (especially with numbers and inventory control).
- Good communication skills (cross-functional collaboration).
