Acara Solutions is seeking a Test Bench Engineer for Semiconductor & Microelectronics, to join our client on a Full Time Direct Hire opportunity located in Palm Bay FL
We are seeking a hands-on Test Bench Engineer to design, configure, execute, and debug semiconductor and microelectronic test setups in compliance with MIL-STD-883, MIL-STD-750, MIL-STD-202, OEM specs, and customer requirements. Candidates must have direct experience in datasheet analysis, DUT/PCB/Burn-in board setup or design, and bench test configuration/debugging.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze datasheets, test plans, and MIL-STD requirements to define electrical and functional test conditions.
- Design or set up DUT boards, PCB interfaces, Burn-in boards, and custom fixtures.
- Configure, operate, and debug test bench equipment for accurate, repeatable results.
- Perform electrical characterization, functional, programming, and environmental testing.
- Maintain detailed engineering notes, schematics, and test records.
- Support Sales and Engineering with quoting, hardware needs, and process improvements.
- Contribute to LabVIEW or automation development (preferred).
Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in EE, CE, Systems, Aerospace, or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience).
- 4 years minimum experience of test bench experience with semiconductor/microelectronics devices.
- Proven ability to interpret datasheets, configure and debug equipment, set up DUT/PCB boards, and execute full device-level tests.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
- MIL-STD experience, LabVIEW, chip-level programming, PCB layout knowledge.
- Proficiency with Logic Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, PXIe systems, Curve Tracers, Function/Signal Generators, DC Power Supplies, DMMs, VNA, TDR, Thermostream, environmental chambers, breadboarding, chip-level programming tools, and standard lab electronics/soldering equipment.
