Description

Acara Solution is seeking a Manufacturing Planning Specialist for our defense client, located in Scottsdale, AZ. This is a long-term contract position with a strong possibility of a contract-to-direct option. Onsite. The hourly pay rate for this position is $32.60 (possible flexibility). 


This position requires the contractor to be able to obtain a Secret clearance (current U.S. Citizen). A secret clearance will be expected after start if one does not currently have it. 

  • As a Manufacturing Planning Specialist, you'll create production and material plans to include inventory goals and schedules. 
  • You'll oversee the master schedule and ensure compliance with material requirements for manufacturing, and manage the procurement planning for a medium-sized company. 
  • You may also develop material cost strategies and coordinate target pricing with the supply chain, while maintaining the forecast in the production and material planning tool and updating as needed.
  • Monitor inventory levels and adjust plans to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Analyze capacity constraints and recommend solutions to improve workflow efficiency.
  • Review engineering changes and update bills of material as needed.
  • Prepare reports on production status, material readiness, and forecast updates.
  • Identify and resolve scheduling conflicts or material shortages.
 
Job Requirements

 
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree (an Associate's degree is acceptable with an additional 2 years of planning exp)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in production or material planning within a manufacturing operation.
  • Min 2 years of experience with MRP/ERP systems. 
  • Min 1 year of experience and solid knowledge working under government compliance regulations. 

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Intermediate knowledge of concurrent engineering principles.
  • Good multi-task skills while maintaining focus on details.
  • Ability to prioritize program material needs with the supply chain and internal shops as appropriate.
  • Understanding of engineering changes and their effect on the (BOM) bill of materials.
  • Ability to understand, research, and reconcile financial errors.
