Description
Acara Solution is seeking a Radiation Effects Engineer for our client, located in Scottsdale, AZ.
- A successful candidate will lead technical efforts to ensure our space systems meet performance objectives in intense radiation environments.
- This includes effects due to both natural space and nuclear radiation environments.
- Ensure mission success through proactive technical engagement and innovation.
- Drive technology, capabilities, and their integration into roadmaps and products.
- Validate and establish new engineering processes for radiation effects.
- Mentor junior engineers and team members.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development for yourself and others.
Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Science or Engineering or Mathematics with 15 years of experience.
- Minimum 15 years of experience with integrating commercial technology into high-reliability, high-availability space systems.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Materials Science or Physics with 13 years of experience.
- Deep subject matter expertise in natural space radiation environments, including modelling and analysis techniques.
- Expertise in radiation effects mitigation at the component and system level.
- Creative, innovative, and a desire to drive change.
