Description

Acara Solution is seeking a Radiation Effects Engineer for our client, located in Scottsdale, AZ.

  • A successful candidate will lead technical efforts to ensure our space systems meet performance objectives in intense radiation environments. 
  • This includes effects due to both natural space and nuclear radiation environments. 
  • Ensure mission success through proactive technical engagement and innovation.
  • Drive technology, capabilities, and their integration into roadmaps and products.
  • Validate and establish new engineering processes for radiation effects.
  • Mentor junior engineers and team members.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development for yourself and others.
 
Job Requirements

 
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Science or Engineering or Mathematics with 15 years of experience.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience with integrating commercial technology into high-reliability, high-availability space systems.

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Materials Science or Physics with 13 years of experience.
  • Deep subject matter expertise in natural space radiation environments, including modelling and analysis techniques.
  • Expertise in radiation effects mitigation at the component and system level.
  • Creative, innovative, and a desire to drive change.
