Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work onsite with our client in Saratoga Springs, NY. Interested?

 

Here's what you'd do:

  • Accurately build transformers and other assemblies to prints, drawings, work instructions, travelers, or other methods of instruction.
  • Prepare wire connections by forming, sanding, scraping, tinning, insulating, or other methods for connection to terminals or other points of contact.
  • Assemble wires to terminals, lugs, or terminal boards utilizing crimping tools and other tools.
  • Assemble parts to form units or subassembly parts, or mount subassemblies on panel or in cabinet, using such hand tools as screw drivers, wrenches, pliers, etc.; and assemble electronic components, mechanical components, subassemblies, or systems by following work orders, production drawings, sample assemblies, and verbal instructions.
  • Hand tools may be pneumatic, electric, or manual.
  • Set up and assemble cores or steel lamination and insulating separators into wound coils using banding, stacking, interleaving, and other techniques as needed.
  • Perform disassembly of objects for rework/repair.
  • Utilize solder irons, torches, epoxies, and tools (screwdrivers, wrenches, hammers, pliers, clamps, etc.) to form and make connections & fasten metal objects together.
  • Utilize fixtures, work aides, tools, and/or jigs as needed in the performance of duties.
  • Use calibrated measuring devices to check dimensions to confirm assembly meets drawings and prints.
  • Clean and prepare work surfaces for proper shape or adhesion of solder, braze, silicones, or other materials.
  • Hermetically seal units with either solder or braze by use of a torch or soldering iron.
  • Work with engineering and other departments to improve products and ensure quality and compliance.
  • Enter information into the ERP system and complete all paperwork, ensuring the documentation is routed to its proper destination.
  • Identify and report any issues or concerns related to product quality, packaging, or documentation, including but not limited to equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or quality issues, to supervisors.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions to ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, including cleaning equipment and removing debris or obstructions.
  • Participate in training programs and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, including attendance, punctuality, and workplace conduct & Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to support a positive work environment and achieve production goals.
  • Follow safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents or exposure to hazardous materials.

 

Here's what you'll get:

Pay: $17.05 – 19.43/hr.

Hours: 40 hours/week.

Length: Direct Placement.

Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Magnetics Assembly.

  • Experience in SaaS, technology, or fast-paced growth environments.
  • Passion for the hospitality industry and helping restaurants, retailers, hotels, and venues thrive with technology.
  • Collaborative customer-first team player committed to building a world-class, customer-obsessed organization.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Previous experience with assembly or fabrication work prescribed by drawings, sketches, or work instructions.
  • Basic mathematical skills, including, but not limited to, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and determining ratios.
  • Ability to use measuring tools, including a tape measure, caliper, torque wrench & height gauge.
  • Previous technical training or relevant certifications.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new skills.
  • Ability to follow work instructions and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality, safety, and site and product security.
  • Good communication skills and ability to interact professionally with coworkers and supervisors.

  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.

  • Must be able to work full-time.
  • While performing the functions of this job, the employee is frequently needed to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and lift to 50 pounds.
  • The employee is occasionally needed to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crawl, talk or hear, and lift to 100 pounds.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects as needed.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed by production schedules.
