Acara Solutions is seeking a Mechanical Assembly Technician to join our client on a Temp to Hire opportunity located in Littleton CO 80127
Payrate: $27 - $33/hr.
Shift: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts; overtime may be required.

Position Summary
The Mechanical Assembly Technician supports spacecraft hardware assembly, component integration, and environmental test campaigns in a precision aerospace manufacturing environment. This role works closely with engineering and production teams to build, test, and document high-reliability space hardware.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble mechanical hardware per drawings and written work instructions
- Operate torque wrenches and precision hand tools to meet specifications
- Integrate components onto spacecraft and propulsion hardware
- Install project-specific sensors (thermistors, accelerometers, etc.)
- Support propulsion module and spacecraft environmental testing
- Troubleshoot hardware issues in collaboration with engineering
- Perform visual inspections (IPI) and ensure quality compliance
- Document build processes and maintain accurate records
- Follow AS9100 manufacturing standards and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship
Minimum 2 years' experience in the following:
- Mechanical assembly experience
- Experience using hand tools and torque tools
- Experience performing visual inspections
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
- Experience with fabrication and test environments
- Experience in aerospace manufacturing
- Cleanroom experience
- Experience with non-conformance resolution
- Familiarity with Visio, Excel, or CAD software
- Strong time-management skills
- AS9100 manufacturing experience
