Description
Acara Solutions has been providing aerospace and other advanced manufacturing firms across the U.S. with our engineering and professional staffing services for close to 70 years. Our space client in the Austin, TX area is looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer to join their team as a contractor. They expect this to be a contract-to-direct position, although they will consider a long-term contractor if desired. The hourly contractor target rate range is $50 - $63, max $65 / hour.
This is a 5 day a week onsite position. We are looking for someone with strong Python and has a history of making internal web tools for companies. Someone that has a high level of ownership and can work well without being micro-managed.
You will be working closely with the ERP & Engineering Applications, Design and Product Development teams helping integrate, develop, and troubleshoot various software suites driving overall company efficiencies. - 3+ years of experience in software development and cross-platform integration, applying industry best practices to deliver reliable and maintainable solutions
- Strong foundation in Python, JavaScript, Typescript, HTML, CSS, XML, SQL, and object-oriented programming, with experience in web application development
- Proven ability to design, build, and integrate APIs, HTTP requests, web sockets, and other communication protocols across multi-application environments
- Skilled in developing, testing, and implementing software tools and systems, enhancing integration capabilities and streamlining workflows across departments
- Proficient in writing SQL queries for data extraction, manipulation, and integration with web applications
- Collaborates effectively between business units and IT teams, gathering, documenting, and communicating complex business requirements
- ERP experience such as Oracle NetSuite's, Workday Financials, SAP ERP/SAP S/4HANA etc.
- Applies critical thinking and problem-solving skills to resolve technical challenges with a 'make it happen' attitude
- Knowledgeable in Agile software development best practices, including architectural paradigms, code reviews, branching, task management, documentation, and testing
- Capable of working independently or as part of a team in dynamic, fast-paced environments
- Provides technical leadership and coordination with Development Managers and Technical Directors to streamline data and information flow across the organization
- Plans, develops, tests, and releases tools, connectors, and in-house applications to promote efficiency and synergy across departments
- Supports IT network resource planning and optimization of hardware utilization
- Develops and maintains KPIs, technical documentation, and user guides to comply with audit requirements
- Configures features and develops functionalities to meet business and organizational requirements
- Responds to software support requests, troubleshooting bugs and implementing solutions
- Evaluates and recommends improvements to current and future software/application requirements to meet evolving organizational needs
- Conducts system audits and designs operational data pipelines using advanced data architectures
- Participates in a primarily Agile/Scrum product development process, supporting all phases from development to release
- Supports training development across all levels of the organization to ensure knowledge transfer and adoption of new tools and processes
Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science/Engineering or a related discipline (4+yrs direct industry experience may be substituted)
- Min 3 years of experience in software development & cross platform integration
- Min 3 years using Python, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and XML, SQL, objected oriented programming, web application development
- Min 3 years' experience developing, testing, and implementing software tools and systems across multi-application environment
- Min 3 years' writing SQL queries to extract and manipulate data from databases, enhancing the integration capabilities of web applications.
- Min 2 years' experience and comprehensive understanding of web server and web applications
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
- Familiarity with ERP systems - integrating and developing tools/modules
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Able to configure & support Container based technologies (Kubernetes, Docker, Rancher, etc.)
- Familiarity with Atlassian product suite (Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket) and Siemen's products (or other 3D CAD software)
- Familiarity with basic machine learning concepts and language learning models, enabling the integration of intelligent features into web applications
