Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work ON-SITE with our client in Fremont, CA. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

  • Navigate computer-based work instructions to install parts & hardware using hand tools & fixtures if needed; on wafer fabrication equipment (WFE) in a Lean manufacturing clean-room environment.
  • Effectively use hand tools, torque wrenches, equipment & fixtures to assemble WFE.
  • Read & navigate work instructions & schematics.
  • Work in teams to ensure the workflow & production schedule are maintained.
  • Provide flexibility & responsiveness for changing priorities, including rework requirements & pilot build projects.
  • Complete required trainings & certifications for processes, procedures & equipment.
  • Ensures the correct parts are delivered & performs visual inspection of components before installation.
  • Assists with audits through visual inspection & verifying checklists.
  • Closes assigned tasks by verifying work was completed, verifying Cell Fusion was completed, & signing off & giving a description of what was done.
  • Installs parts & hardware correctly by following Cell Fusion instructions & using hand tools & fixtures as needed; verifies completion of Cell Fusion.
  • Consistently exhibit behaviors that align with the client's core values and Safety Protocol.
  • Complete all needed safety training.
  • Follow safe work practices by lifting no more than 35 pounds, using ergonomic pads, and stretching when needed.
  • Perform Risk Management By Walking Around (RMBWA) inspections & document, correct &/or escalate safety issues/hazards to appropriate individuals/departments.
  • Supports a safe work environment by responding directly & quickly to unsafe practices; escalates to next level manager (safety representative, lead, supervisor, manager); & escalates any unresolved issues (incorrect use of hoist, poor placement of tools/cords/ladders, not using cones or barriers, PPE misuse). Communication.
  • Provides information & responds promptly to supervisors & co-workers by telephone/written form/e-mail/in person.
  • Actively participates in meetings & training.
  • Identify & communicate production issues both verbally & in writing.
  • Suggests continuous improvements by communicating verbally/in writing to appropriate groups/locations.
  • Communicates verbally & written system status during shift passdown. 
  • Navigate diagnostic software on a computer.
  • Management, at its discretion, assigns or reassigns duties & responsibilities to this job at any time.

Here's what you'll get:

Pay: $31.00 / hr.

Hours: 40 hrs/Week. 

Length: Contract (12 months).

Job Requirements

 
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in mechanical or manufacturing assembly.

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:

Additional Information:

  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
  • In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
  • Adhere to personal & product safety guidelines by: utilizing appropriate PPE following clean room procedures; following Lockout Tagout policies & procedures (LOTO & ZEST); & utilizing fixtures (lift hoists, lift track, gantry cranes, lifting tool) to aid in the assembly of tools.
  • Physical requirements are dependent on the products manufactured, which differ by site. 
  • Work 12-plus hour shifts in fast paced & time-sensitive environment.
  • Able to Lift & install parts up to 35 pounds manually.

  • Perform tasks with a working height of 22' from the ground.
  • Kneel, crouch, & squat frequently.
  • Use manual tools (box wrench, cable tie cutters).
  • Reach into machines constantly.
  • Scale the 10-step ladder comfortably.
  • Push/pull assembly dollies using <~40lb force.
  • Distinguish between colors for wire identification.
  • Maintain a clean & organized workspace.
  • Provide flexibility & responsiveness for changing priorities, including but not limited to rework, overtime.
  • Able to operate & use Hand Tools, including but not limited to: Calipers, Circuit tester, Wrenches, Hoists, Ohm meters, Screwdrivers, Torque wrenches, Ladders/platforms, Snipping tools/cutters.
