Description

Acara Solutions seeks a Space Force Transport Mission Architect for our client in Scottsdale, AZ.

  • As a Transport Mission Architect for the SDA GMI program, you'll be a member of a cross-functional team responsible for developing and deploying the state-of-the-art ground operational system.
  • Collaborate with customers, mission partners, and other key stakeholders to translate requirements into robust system designs within a fast-moving timeline.
  • Decomposition of end-to-end system requirements into software and network architecture, design, interfaces, and test cases
  • Coordination with developers and integration and test teams to ensure component development meet system mission needs.

Payrate: $ 73.51/hour

 
Job Requirements

 

Required skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering or Science or Engineering or Technology or Mathematics with 5 years of experience.
  • Minimum 5 year of experience in development and integration teams to deliver mission-critical systems.

Preferred skills:

  • Master's Degree with 3 years of experience
  • Agile experience
  • Ground system design or scheduling knowledge
  • Ground network designs for DoD missions such as Link-16, IBS, SatCom
  • Tracking mission design knowledge
  • Satellite communications knowledge
  • Ground to Satellite communication knowledge
  • System/Software design for cloud-based microservice architecture
  • Creative thinker with demonstrated success leading the systems development life cycle
  • Collaborative team player eager to provide technical leadership and position others for success
  • Thorough knowledge of technology trends and willingness to champion new ideas and process improvements
  • Strong presentation and communications skills with experience in the art of negotiation and the ability to meet challenging customer requirements with win-win solutions
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development for yourself and others
  • Systems Engineering: Proficiency in systems engineering, decomposing requirements into architecture, internal and external interfaces, design behavior with emphasis on:
  • Ground pre-planned or ad-hoc scheduling and situational awareness of satellites and payloads
  • Experience with ground mission data transport, handling, and analysis
  • Experience decomposing the high-level space-ground systems design into ground software/systems design.
  • Experience with MBSE methodologies and tools such as, CAMEO or MagicDraw.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, and MATLAB, including for software developer coordination, system analysis, prototype algorithm development, or modeling.
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies and their application in system design and deployment.
  • Background in simulation and modeling analysis with tools like STK, particularly in aerospace applications

  • Requires an active  top Secret SCI Clearance
