Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work onsite with our client in Bromont, QC. Interested?      

Here's what you'd do:

  • Responsible for providing technical service of complex electro-mechanical systems at customer sites.
  • Troubleshoot equipment problems to isolate problems and take steps to minimize downtime or system interrupts and eliminate equipment malfunctions. Determine corrective actions as required.
  • May own or take part in installations or relocations of customer equipment and perform start-up and qualification procedures.
  • Remain up to date on equipment/tools through appropriate training, manuals, factory periodicals and other relevant materials.
  • Assist in complex field modifications, upgrades, CIPs, and ECOs.
  • Maintain records and reports as required to properly coordinate activities with supervisors and customers.
  • Assist in the planning, management, and execution of projects of a limited scope and duration
  • May perform other related duties as assigned or requested by manager.
  • Employment type - Full time
  • Provide technical instructions and mentoring for the technical support team.
  • May Provide on-site instruction to sub-contractors, co-workers, and customers.
  • Professionally represent the company to the customer.
  • Be committed to customer satisfaction and develop good customer relations by maintaining high professionalism standards of conduct.
  • Shadow more experienced engineer at customer site as needed.
  • Present escalation action plans and status
  • Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with co-workers and customers.

Here's what you'll get:

Pay: $65-$80 / hr.

Hours: 40 hrs/Week.

Length:  Contract (12 months).

Job Requirements

 

Required skills:

  • Associate Degree in Electronics or Engineering with 8 years of experience.
  • Minimum 8years of experience in installation, maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of capital equipment adhering to company procedures.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in clean room environment, wearing clean room garments and appropriate personal protective safety equipment.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis tools.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in automation, semiconductor, medical devices, or advanced manufacturing equipment
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in minimal supervision

Preferred skills:

  • Bachelor Degree in Electronics or Engineering with 5 years experience.
  • Ability for leading customer escalations, task forces and continuous improvement projects.
  • Complete assignments with attention to detail and high degree of accuracy.
  • Adhere to customer rules and policies regarding worksite behavior and safety.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write in French/English (very important in Quebec)
  • Fluency in Mandarin a bonus.
  • OEM equipment expertise

Additional Information

  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
  • Able to travel up to 20% of the time.
  • Must have the ability to obtain a valid passport and travel internationally as needed.
  • Able to work for prolonged periods of time, including bending, stooping, reaching, walking, sitting and standing in one location.
  • Ability travel occasionally for training etc. (Canada/USA)
  • Willingness to support critical after-hours or weekend work.
