Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work ON-SITE with our client in Kenly, NC. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

  • Responsible for the proper care of injection molds for/from the presses. 
  • Change mold inserts as needed.
  • Review production requirements and coordinate with the Shift Supervisor to prioritize mold changes as per the Daily Report.
  • Pull molds from storage and inspect their condition.
  • Ensures molds are handled properly. 
  • Clean molds for production runs by taking them apart, cleaning and putting them back together for storage.
  • Change mold inserts as needed by the Daily Production Report and verify they are clean to start production.
  • Work areas should stay clean and free of debris. 
  • Ensure that safety practices and procedures are followed. 
  • Inspect the equipment in the assigned area to ensure safety and performance each day and follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Completes tasks promptly.
  • Performs assembly or secondary operations as needed and assists the team and the rest of the shift in any manner needed.
  • Assist in other areas as needed and any other duties as assigned by the Tool Room Manager or General Manager.
  • Performs job duties in accordance with ISO 9001 Procedures and Work Instructions.

 

Here's what you'll get:

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 / hr.

Hours: 40 hrs/Week.

Length: Contract to hire.

Job Requirements

 
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 3 years of mechanical inclined experience working with tools.

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Ability to perform simple math functions.
  • Ability to follow written directions in Standard Operating Procedure manuals and other work-related documents. 
  • Ability to communicate courteously and positively when dealing with others. 
  • Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
  • Ability to work independently without constant supervision.
  • Ability to accurately determine whether a mold conforms to quality specifications.
  • Knowledge and consistent application of Lockout/Tagout on all equipment.
  • Previous injection molding experience.

 

Additional Information:

  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.

  • Arm-Hand Steadiness - The ability to keep your hand and arm steady while moving your arm or while holding your arm and hand in one position.
  • Vision - The ability to visually inspect molds for quality defects. 
  • Manual Dexterity - The ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
  • Control Precision - The ability to quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a machine or a vehicle to exact positions.
  • Trunk Strength - The ability to use your abdominal and lower back muscles to support part of the body repeatedly or continuously over time without 'giving out' or fatiguing.
  • Seeing - Read Daily Production Report and Standard Operating 75-100.
  • Procedure Manual. 
  • Visually see the proper placement of mold.
  • Standing/Walking - Standing at the mold. 
  • Moving to various workstations 75-100.
  • Finger/Hand - Using wrenches and various tools to clean and mold 75-100.
  • Change inserts. 
  • Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling - Moving around molds while working 50-100.
  • Reaching - While working with molds, 75-100.
  • Lifting from 10 - 50 pounds - Lifting small molds or inserts 75-100.
  • Exerting up to 50 pounds of force to set molds, which needs lifting and reaching at least 8 times a day without assistance.  
  • Exerting at least 25 pounds of force to clamp molds in place without assistance at least 8 times per day.  
  • The job is considered relatively active work requiring stooping, kneeling, reaching, turning, twisting, and climbing.
