Required skills:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years of experience inplastic injection molding or manufacturing machine setup.
Preferred skills:
- Ability to perform simple math functions for production counts and down time, cycle monitoring, etc.
- Ability to follow written directions in Standard Operating Procedure manuals and other work-related documents.
- Ability to communicate in a courteous and positive manner when dealing with others.
- Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
- Ability to work independently without constant supervision.
- Ability to accurately determine whether a manufactured part conforms to quality specifications.
- Ability to correct processing problems and deviations quickly and consistently.
- Knowledge and consistent application of Lockout/Tagout on all equipment.
- The ability to keep your hand and arm steady while moving your arm or while holding your arm and hand in one position.
- The ability to visually inspect parts for quality defects.
- Read SOP and labels.
- The ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
- The ability to quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a machine or a vehicle to exact positions.
- The ability to use your abdominal and lower back muscles to support part of the body repeatedly or continuously over time without 'giving out' or fatiguing.
- Previous injection molding experience
Additional Information
- Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
- In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
- Seeing - Read Daily Production Report and Standard Operating
- Procedure Manual. Visually see proper placement of mold in press.
- Standing/Walking - Standing at molding machine to put in water line,
- Clamps etc. Moving to various workstations.
- Finger/Hand - Using wrenches and various tools to change molds.
- Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling - Climbing on ladder to get to mold platform etc.
- Reaching - Clamp top of mold, reach up to top of mold to hook up water Lines, turning twisting etc.
- Lifting from 10 - 50 pounds - Lifting small molds or inserts to set them in or take them out of the press.
- Exerting up to 50 pounds of force to set molds which require lifting and reaching at least 8 times a day without assistance.
- Exerting at least 25 pounds of force to clamp molds in place without assistance at least 8 times per day.
- The job is considered relatively active work requiring stooping, kneeling, reaching, turning, twisting, and climbing.
