Description

Acara Solution is seeking a Linux Kernel Driver Software Contractor for our client, located in Scottsdale, AZ

Here is what you will get: 
Pay Rate: Upwards of $94/hr
Shift: 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off 

Here is what you will do:
  • As a software engineer focused on Linux Kernel Driver software development for Space, Cyber, and Intelligence (SC&I), you'll be a member of a cross-functional team responsible for the Crypto and Cross Domain Solutions (CaCDS) team.   
  • Develop and maintain Linux kernel device drivers for various hardware peripherals.
  • Work closely with hardware and firmware teams to integrate drivers with new platforms.
  • Debug and optimize kernel-level software for performance and stability.
  • Analyze system crashes, kernel panics, and driver issues using debugging tools.
  • Contribute to kernel configuration, build systems, and board support packages (BSP).
  • Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.
  • Document driver architecture, APIs, and technical designs.
 
Job Requirements

 
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering or Science or Engineering or Technology or Mathematics with 8 years of experience
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Linux Kernel Drivers, C, C++, Python, or SELinux.
  • Active Secret Clearance   

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree with 6 years of experience 
  • Agile experience. 
  • Creative thinker with demonstrated success leading the software development life cycle
  • Expertise in applying technical standards and methodologies to solve challenges
  • Exceptional communication skills with the capacity to secure buy-in on concepts and ideas
  • Collaborative team player eager to provide technical leadership and position others for success

Additional Information:

  • Requires an Active Secret Clearance
