Description
Acara Solution is seeking a Linux Kernel Driver Software Contractor for our client, located in Scottsdale, AZ
Here is what you will get:
Pay Rate: Upwards of $94/hr
Shift: 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off
Here is what you will do:
- As a software engineer focused on Linux Kernel Driver software development for Space, Cyber, and Intelligence (SC&I), you'll be a member of a cross-functional team responsible for the Crypto and Cross Domain Solutions (CaCDS) team.
- Develop and maintain Linux kernel device drivers for various hardware peripherals.
- Work closely with hardware and firmware teams to integrate drivers with new platforms.
- Debug and optimize kernel-level software for performance and stability.
- Analyze system crashes, kernel panics, and driver issues using debugging tools.
- Contribute to kernel configuration, build systems, and board support packages (BSP).
- Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.
- Document driver architecture, APIs, and technical designs.
Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering or Science or Engineering or Technology or Mathematics with 8 years of experience
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Linux Kernel Drivers, C, C++, Python, or SELinux.
- Active Secret Clearance
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
- Master's Degree with 6 years of experience
- Agile experience.
- Creative thinker with demonstrated success leading the software development life cycle
- Expertise in applying technical standards and methodologies to solve challenges
- Exceptional communication skills with the capacity to secure buy-in on concepts and ideas
- Collaborative team player eager to provide technical leadership and position others for success
