We are seeking a Sales Application Engineer to support quotation development and new offer creation for medium voltage drives. You will develop, edit, and write original proposal responses and other sales-related documents while interpreting customer specifications to position our products effectively to win business.
This is a remote position.
Prepare detailed engineering proposals for the medium voltage drives product line in a timely manner.
Interpret client technical specifications accurately and produce compliant technical proposals, suggesting suitable alternatives where appropriate.
Assess commercial requirements and identify any risks to the company, ensuring proper mitigation.
Ensure pricing and estimating align with company strategies, charge-out rates, and engineering resource availability.
Serve as a single point of contact for customers, outside sales, and representatives, including negotiating roles during proposal preparation.
Lead or participate in bid review, bid clarification, and sales handover meetings.
Write high-quality technical and commercial documents and reports, presenting to both internal and external audiences.
Collaborate with internal teams to gather accurate data for proposals.
Education: BS/BA in Electrical Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience. Advanced degree may substitute for experience. Certification may be required in some areas.
Experience: 1–3 years in a related field, demonstrating successful completion of similar responsibilities.
Knowledge and experience with medium voltage inverter products.
Strong skills in communication, organizational change, and influencing without authority.
Proficient in tools for proposal development.
Extensive knowledge in field of specialization or multiple subject areas.
