Description
Acara Solutions seeks a Software Integration & Test Engineer for our client in Scottsdale, AZ.
- As a Software Integration & Test Engineer for Tactical Communications, you'll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for providing rapid prototype mission critical solutions to our customer community.
- Execute software integration and test (I&T) on software defined hardware solutions.
- Troubleshoot software bugs realized during I&T, working with hardware and software engineers to resolve.
- Follow best practices for test automation, continuous integration, and test reporting.
- Support development of automated test scripts using Python 3.9+.
- Coordinate integration activities between hardware, firmware, and software teams.
- Support AGILE implementation.
- Support configuration management documentation and processes to release and deliver software.
- Maintain accurate records of test activities and results.
Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering or Science or Engineering or Technology or Mathematics with 2 years of experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with object-oriented programming, and scripting languages, Python.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with hardware/software integration testing.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with test equipment (signal analyzer, signal generator, USRP).
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
- Master's Degree with 6 months of experience.
- Agile experience.
- Willing to work in a fast-paced, rapid-prototype environment, adapting to immediate course correction as needed.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Outstanding communication skills for frequent contact with managers, project teams across the company and external customers and vendors.
- Familiarity with software testing and debug.
- Background in defense or aerospace industries.
- Team player who thrives in collaborative environments and revels in team success, meeting and exceeding personal and team commitments.
- Ability to grasp and apply new information quickly and handle increasing responsibilities with growing complexity.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.

- Requires the ability to obtain an Active Secret Clearance.
