Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Architecture Leadership
  • Define and maintain target‑state and transitional architectures for digital asset and stablecoin capabilities across the enterprise.
  • Establish reference architectures, standards, and architectural guardrails for blockchain and stablecoin usage.
  • Review and govern solution designs involving digital assets through architecture review boards and SDLC processes.
  • Drive architectural clarity across lines of business, preventing fragmented or ad‑hoc crypto implementations.
 
Stablecoin & Digital Asset Architecture
  • Design end‑to‑end architectures for stablecoin platforms, including:
    1. On‑chain smart contracts and token models
    2. Off‑chain orchestration, ledgering, and reconciliation
    3. Wallet and custody integration
    4. Mint, burn, redemption, and settlement flows
  • Define integration patterns between blockchain platforms and:
    1. Core banking and general ledger systems
    2. Payments rails (ACH, Fedwire, RTP, internal book transfer)
    3. Liquidity management and treasury systems
  • Guide architectural decisions across public, permissioned, and hybrid blockchain models.
Crypto / Stablecoin Technology Stack
  • Provide architectural leadership across the full digital asset stack, including:
    1. Blockchain networks (e.g., EVM‑based public or permissioned networks, Layer‑2s)
    2. Token standards and permissioning models (e.g., ERC‑20, permissioned tokens)
    3. Smart contract controls (upgradeability, pause/blacklist, role‑based access)
    4. Middleware for transaction monitoring, indexing, and off‑chain synchronization
    5. API and event‑driven integration patterns
    6. Cloud‑native platforms (Azure/AWS), containerization, and secure key management
Security, Risk, and Compliance
  • Embed bank‑grade security controls into all digital asset architectures, including:
    1. Private key lifecycle management and HSM integration
    2. Segregation of duties, dual control, and transaction signing policies
    3. Wallet tiering strategies (hot/warm/cold)
    4. Resilience, failover, and incident response for on‑chain and off‑chain components
  • Ensure architectures align with U.S. banking regulatory expectations, including:
    1. BSA/AML and OFAC sanctions enforcement
    2. Travel Rule compliance
    3. NYDFS cybersecurity requirements
    4. Operational resilience, auditability, and examiner transparency
  • Partner closely with Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Audit teams to support approvals and examinations.
Strategic Advisory & Collaboration
  1. Serve as a trusted advisor to senior technology and business leaders on digital asset strategy.
  2. Evaluate vendors, custodians, analytics providers, and blockchain platforms through an enterprise and risk lens.
  3. Assess emerging technologies (e.g., tokenized deposits, permissioned DeFi constructs, CBDC pilots) and provide clear recommendations on applicability and risk.

Job Requirements

 
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED with 11 years of experience.
  • Minimum of 11 years of experience in software engineering, software delivery or solution architecture.
  • Minimum of 8 years of enterprise architecture experience in large, complex environments.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in developing and integrating applications using relevant software architecture principles and patterns.
  • Minimum of 7 years of deep enterprise architecture experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience designing or governing digital asset, blockchain, or stablecoin platforms in financial services, fintech, or regulated environments.
  • Minimum of 7 years of architectural experience with:
    1. Blockchain platforms and smart contracts.
    2. APIdriven and eventdriven integration.
    3. Cloudnative architectures (Azure).
    4. Security architecture for highrisk financial systems.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience engaging with risk, compliance, audit, and regulators on novel technology architectures.

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering with 7 years of experience.
  • Master's Degree in Business or Computer Science or Engineering.
  • Certification and experience working with Cloud technologies and vendors.
  • Certification in enterprise architecture frameworks.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Experience working in the financial services industry.
  • Experience working in two or more technical roles related to banking technical design and roadmap planning.
  • Working knowledge of architectural frameworks.
  • Working knowledge of enterprise architecture tools.
  • Enterprise architecture leadership in highly regulated financial environments.
  • Handson understanding of stablecoin and digital asset platform architecture.
  • Executivelevel communication and architectural decisionmaking.
  • This position will interface with senior leaders, and will need excellent communication skills along with basic knowledge of new and emerging technology trends, and the practical application of those trends for strategic use.
  • Handson understanding of blockchain and stablecoin technology stacks, and demonstrated ability to navigate regulatory, risk, and operational scrutiny typical of large financial institutions.
  • Strong understanding of stablecoin models, including reservebacked issuance, redemption mechanics, and settlement flows.
  • Strong executivelevel communication skills with the ability to explain complex architectures clearly and credibly.
  • Experience working directly with:
    1. Stablecoin issuers, custodians, or digital asset infrastructure providers.
    2. Payment modernization or realtime settlement platforms.
  • Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF).
  • Cloud or security certifications (Azure Architect, securityfocused credentials).
  • Prior experience influencing enterprisewide technology standards or governance.
