Description

Job Mission:
The Buyer is responsible for purchasing goods and services for the company. 
They will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, equipment, and supplies from vendors. 
The Buyer will work closely with the production team to ensure that all materials are delivered on time and within budget.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Purchase materials, products, equipment and supplies in accordance with company guidelines and procedures. 
  • Identify and resolve vendor-related problems regarding specifications, timing, quality, quantity and delivery of vendor products.
  • Provide thorough communication between departments as required.
  • Ability to negotiate with vendors for best price, quality and delivery of goods and services.
  • Collaborate internally when necessary to obtain prices and specifications.
  • May be required to review schedules to anticipate required materials, products, equipment, and supplies.
  • Assist on expediting orders on critical materials and parts
  • Monitor and maintain vendor consignment inventory including the recording/reporting of usage and backfill requirements.
  • Update and maintain departmental records, database(s) and network files.
  • Work independently with moderate supervision.

Pay Rate:$32-$38/hr depending on experience 
Onsite 
Work hours - Mon-Fri 8 to 5
 
Job Requirements

 
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2+ years purchasing, or related work experience.

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of Encompix/MRP/ERP system.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to interact with other members of the organization.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods and occasionally walk, bend, and lift up to 25 lbs.
