Description

Acara Solutions is looking for a Production Control Manager for our client located in Niagara Falls, NY.
  • Direct Placement role
  • $70-$90,000K annually based on experience
  • Onsite Monday-Friday standard business hours 

The Production Control Manager will serve as the architect of our manufacturing operations. This role is about orchestrating the big picture-planning the war, not fighting it. You'll be the central hub connecting orders, materials, production, and shipment, ensuring our manufacturing engine runs smoothly and efficiently.

Primary Responsibilities

Planning & Scheduling

  • Plan and schedule all production orders using our E2 ERP system, balancing customer demands with manufacturing capacity across furnaces, machines, and production cells
  • Develop and maintain master production schedules that optimize workflow and resource utilization
  • Anticipate bottlenecks and proactively adjust plans to keep production on track
  • Be the Make/Buy decision point to direct new orders internally to Americarb or outsource to our manufacturing partners

Inventory Management

  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels using our min/max system to prevent stockouts while minimizing excess
  • Analyze inventory trends and adjust parameters to reflect changing production needs, customer demand, and sales forecast
  • Ensure accurate inventory data across all systems

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Coordinate with Operations Director to plan, track, and ship all orders for manufacturing and furnace toll processing
  • Partner with Purchasing to ensure timely procurement of materials aligned with production schedules
  • Coordinate with Shipping/Receiving to align inbound materials and outbound finished goods with production timelines
  • Serve as the communication bridge between sales, production, and customer service teams

Work-in-Process (WIP) Tracking

  • Monitor orders as they progress through each production stage
  • Identify delays or issues early and communicate impact to internal stakeholders
  • Send a weekly communication to Customer Service with status of all customer orders in process
  • Maintain visibility across all active jobs to ensure on-time delivery; track the OTD KPI

 

 
Job Requirements

 
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, or related field. Significant equivalent industrial manufacturing experience is an alternative.
  • 3-5 years of Production Control or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Familiar with Sales and Operations Planning principles
  • Proficiency with ERP systems, E2 experience strongly preferred
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
