Job Title: Quality Technician
Location: Fort Payne, AL
Employment Type: Contract (8 months)
Industry: Manufacturing
Compensation: $38.00 /hr.
Schedule: 36 hrs/Week. - (1st shift)
About the Opportunity:
- Perform in-process and final inspections of electrical components in accordance with drawings, specifications, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Apply nondestructive examination (NDE) techniques, including:
- Penetrant Testing (PT)
- Visual Testing (VT)
- Ultrasonic Testing (UT)
- Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT)
- Ensure all inspection activities comply with client and industry quality standards.
- Accurately document inspection results and findings using designated electronic systems.
- Maintain objectivity and integrity in reporting inspection outcomes.

What You'll Do:
- Achieve and maintain Level II certification for the applicable NDE methods by successfully passing general, specific, and practical examinations.
- Provide verifiable evidence of work experience hours related to NDE methods.
- Submit valid Level II certification documentation or certification letters as required.
- Support quality assurance processes within the electrical components manufacturing environment.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure inspection requirements and standards are consistently met.
Job Requirements
What You'll Bring:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 2 years of experience in gauging, drawings, specifications, and standard operating procedures.
- 2 years of NDE experience.
What Sets You Apart:
- Able to maintain their level II status.
- Must be level II certified in at least PT or VT.
- Experience with Boroscoping techniques and Level II in UT and PAUT.
- Familiar with the metric system for measurement.
- Digital literacy and Microsoft Office proficiency are requirements.
- SAP knowledge.
Additional Information:
- Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check.
- May be needed to travel occasionally in this position.
