Description

Acara Solutions is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to work with our partner based out of Minneapolis, MN who specializes in Medial Device Manufacturing. 

Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Minneapolis, MN
Employment Type: Temporary (3-6 months with possible conversion) 
Industry: Medical Device Manufacturing
Compensation: $62/hr to $76.50/hr
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm 

About the Opportunity: 
  • Provide daily engineering support on the manufacturing floor, addressing production challenges related to safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Support and optimize metal forming and deep draw processes to ensure consistent, efficient, and high-quality production output.
  • Create, review, and maintain manufacturing documentation including work instructions, routings, and standard operating procedures.
  • Interpret and apply GD&T and engineering drawings to support troubleshooting, production, and quality investigations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, maintenance, and engineering to resolve production issues.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing scrap, improving cycle times, and increasing process capability.
  • Support new product introductions (NPI) and engineering changes to ensure smooth production readiness.
  • Assist with process validation, capability studies, and root-cause analysis for manufacturing and quality concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, safety requirements, and applicable industry regulations while supporting audits and maintaining accurate records.

Job Requirements

 
What you will Bring:
  • A bachelors Degree in Mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years supporting manufacturing Processes in a production environment 
  • Working knowledge of metal forming or deep draw processes 
  • Strong Understanding of GD&T and print reading 
  • Ability to troubleshoot manufacturing issues using structured problem solving methods  

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Experience with manufacturing process optimization and continuous improvement methodologies. 
  • Familiarity with tooling concepts from a manufacturing support perspective (not design). 
  • Experience supporting high-volume or precision manufacturing operations.
