Location: Buffalo, NY. (Remote)
Employment Type: Temp (3 Months)

Compensation: $75.00/Hour
Schedule: 40 Hours/Week
 
About the Opportunity:
  • Act as a subject matter expert across assigned technologies and services.
  • Collaborate closely with Technology management, senior engineers, and support teams.
  • Design, develop, implement, and manage technical solutions aligned with organizational needs.
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
  • Engage regularly with business partners across various levels to ensure clarity of requirements and opportunities.
  • Coordinate with vendors and manage vendor-related activities as needed.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, technicians, and integrators.
  • Review technical documentation, proposals, and changes from less experienced team members.
  • Stay updated on Financial Services industry trends, practices, and emerging technologies.
  • Promote and follow industry best practices, standards, and procedures.

What You'll Do:
  • Infrastructure architecture and system design.
  • Research and development of new or enhanced systems.
  • Creation and enforcement of technology standards and policies.
  • Detailed analysis of user requirements and operational constraints.
  • Perform unit testing, system integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Maintain strong knowledge of banking applications, systems, and development environments.
  • Develop deep expertise in vendor technologies and services used by the organization.
  • Ensure adherence to risk management, regulatory standards, and internal policies.
  • Identify and escalate risk-related issues to management when necessary.
  • Support internal controls, audits, and regulatory compliance activities.
  • Promote a diverse and inclusive work environment aligned with company values.
  • Implement audit findings and address regulatory concerns promptly.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.
 
 
Job Requirements

 
What You'll Bring:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience as a Senior Splunk Architecture and Engineering
  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in Senior Splunk SIEM Design and Architecture
  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience with Splunk Enterprise Certified Architect or Splunk Core Certified Consultant
  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in systems design, management and/or architecture.

What Sets You Apart: 
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
  • Professional experience in a technical engineering position involving infrastructure design technologies, data management and interchange, system design, and development for complex applications.
  • Good understanding of the system development and infrastructure lifecycle and architecture, vendor best practices, IT Service Management, and systems design.
  • Ability to translate complex business and functional requirements into structured, high-quality implementations using any variety of industry standard approaches.
  • Advanced technical, analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Verifiable knowledge and advanced expertise in industry and vendor technologies.
  • Able to meet with clients of varying levels to gather, document, and analyze system specifications and requirements, and work closely with integrators, developers, and testers in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others in a team environment.
  • Ability to use effective facilitation skills and techniques to elicit and review requirements from a diverse range of stakeholders and group sizes.
  • Understanding of how the people, processes, and technology within an organization interact in relationships and patterns to create a feasible solution on projects of medium to high complexity.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of server/client and virtual technologies.
  • Ability to complete complex tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Able to learn quickly in a rapid-paced environment.
