The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading daily manufacturing operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production of solar components. This role supervises production associates, coordinates workflow, monitors performance metrics, and ensures adherence to company standards, quality requirements, and production schedules.

What You'll Do:
Production Operations
- Supervise daily activities of production personnel across assigned manufacturing lines
- Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining quality and safety standards
- Coordinate shift startup, staffing coverage, and workflow balancing
- Monitor throughput, scrap rates, and downtime to optimize performance
- Support equipment changeovers and process adjustments
Team Leadership
- Lead, coach, and develop production team members
- Conduct shift meetings and communicate goals, priorities, and updates
- Monitor attendance, performance, and productivity metrics
- Support onboarding and training of new employees
- Promote a positive and accountable team culture
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and work instructions
- Partner with Quality team to resolve defects and corrective actions
- Maintain compliance with safety procedures and company policies
- Support audits and documentation requirements
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce waste
- Support Lean manufacturing initiatives and 5S programs
- Track KPIs and implement corrective actions when needed
- Participate in root-cause investigations and process improvements
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, and Warehouse teams
- Support material availability and production readiness
- Assist with production planning and schedule adjustments
Job Requirements
What You'll Bring:
- High school diploma or GED required
- 3+ years of manufacturing experience
What Sets You Apart:
- 1+ year supervisory or team-lead experience preferred
- Experience in solar, electronics, automotive, or high-volume manufacturing environments strongly preferred
- Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced production setting
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Basic computer proficiency (ERP systems, Excel, production tracking tools)
