Location: On-Site, Arlington, TX
Employment Type: Contract-to-direct hire

Compensation: $59/hr. (target)
Schedule:  9x80 1st shift
 
About the Opportunity:
Join a Classified Cyber Security Team as an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO), where you'll play a key role in protecting critical DoD systems and ensuring compliance with evolving cybersecurity requirements. In this role, you'll combine technical expertise with collaboration and leadership to guide systems through the Risk Management Framework (RMF) lifecycle. What You'll Do:
  • Lead cybersecurity compliance efforts by applying RMF and DAAPM guidance to support system authorization and continuous monitoring
  • Develop and maintain security documentation, ensuring systems meet accreditation and government certification requirements
  • Monitor security tools and infrastructure to identify vulnerabilities, indicators of compromise (IOC), and implement mitigation strategies
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and developers to design and maintain secure system architectures
  • Conduct audits, vulnerability assessments, and investigations, while supporting offsite teams and traveling as needed to ensure compliance and readiness

Job Requirements

 
What You'll Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field
  • Current DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II certification
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with cybersecurity frameworks and standards such as NIST SP 800 series, FIPS, JSIG, DAAPM, or ICD
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting authorization and approval (A&A) processes for classified information systems
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience auditing Windows/Linux security logs and conducting vulnerability scans
 
  • What Sets You Apart:
     Experience supporting cybersecurity efforts within collateral, SAP, or SCI environments
  • Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems in secure environments
  • Experience with SIEM and compliance/vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Splunk, Nessus, ACAS, SCAP, STIG Viewer)
 
Additional Information:
  • In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
  • Successful candidate must be able to obtain and maintain DoD Personal Security Clearance.
  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen
  • Ability to effectively communicate with technical teams, leadership, and external stakeholders, with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% as needed
