Description

Acara Solutions is looking for a General/District Manager for one of our clients in Baltimore, MD.

Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, this position is charged with leading the quest for operational excellence, keeping our team safe and leading with values and results, as well as top and bottom line results.

Duration: Fulltime/Direct Placement 
Travel Requirements: Up to 20%

Primary Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the safety of your market
  • Responsible for the culture of your market
  • Responsible for the financial strength of your market
  • Responsible for the day-to-day leadership of your market
  • Responsible for P&L's, staffing, structure, setting divisional objectives and strategy as well as day-to-day operations. 
  • Support the corporate training and development initiative to grow our talent base in the Market.
  • Partner with other General Managers, as well as other leaders to create excellent performance. 
  • Maintain a close business relationship with the VP  
  • Blend this operational focus with effective coaching and teaching skills.

 
Job Requirements

 
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in a mobile or field service-based industry.
  • 3–5+ years of experience demonstrating strong analytical and technical skills in an operations or service environment.
  • 5+ years of experience showcasing problem solving and strategic thinking abilities, along with adaptability, initiative, innovation, dependability, and strong interpersonal skills; must demonstrate customer service orientation, attention to detail, and the ability to support organizational objectives.
  • 3–5+ years of experience with effective oral and written communication in a professional setting.
  • 5+ years of experience in project and change management, with a strong orientation toward teamwork, solid business acumen, and cost-conscious decision-making.
  • 5+ years of experience managing people, including delegating, motivating teams, overseeing quality, meeting productivity standards, and effectively planning and organizing operations.
  • 5+ years of experience operating in a professional environment with a strong emphasis on ethics, accountability, and alignment with company values.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Experience managing field service operations or mobile workforce teams (dispatch, routing, scheduling optimization).
  • Background in a small-to-mid sized service business where the role had full P&L or “own the business” responsibility.
  • Familiarity with CRM or field service management tools (e.g., Salesforce, ServiceTitan, or similar platforms).
