Description
Acara solutions is looking for a Sr. Network Engineer for our client located in Hampton, VA
- Analyzes customer requirements and provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems
- Performs maintenance and upgrade of networks including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, remote access systems, and networks
- Maintains network integrity and connectivity while ensuring compliance with policies and maintains system backup and recovery capability
- Coordinates the acquisition of hardware and software as well as subcontractor services as needed
- Creates plans and configures systems for data communication networks
- Designs and builds hardware and software components for computer or telecommunications networks
- Evaluates new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network
Pay and Benefits:
- The salary for this position is $64.24 per hour (Max Pay rate).
Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
- Bachelors' Degree.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as Sr. Network Engineer.
- Minimum of 5 years' CUCM, TECH Control, FAA or Radio (PRC-117) experience.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
- Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned
- May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals
- Must meet the certification requirement of DoD Directive 8140.01 and 8570.01-M or otherwise stated in individual task order. (SEC+ CE)
