Description

Acara Solutions is looking for a Release Train Engineer for our client. 

Role is open at three locations: Orlando, FL, Tampa, FL, and Arlington, TX.
Direct Placement Opportunity

  • Manage and optimize the flow of value through the ART and Solution Train using various tools, such as the Program and Solution Kanbans and other information radiators.
  • The CAE USA R&D and Joint Operations team is looking for a qualified Release Train Engineer (RTE) to facilitate the Agile Release Train (ART) events and processes and assist the product team in delivering value.
  • The RTE escalates impediments, manages risk, helps ensure value delivery, and promotes relentless improvement.
  • The RTE will coach the leaders, teams, and Scrum Masters in the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) practices and processes.
  • Facilitate PI Planning readiness by fostering a Continuous Exploration process that drives the synthesis of a Vision, a Roadmap, and Backlogs, and through Pre- and Post-PI Planning events
  • Facilitate the PI planning event.
  • Summarize Team PI Objectives into Program PI Objectives and publish them for visibility and transparency.
  • Assist in tracking the execution of features and capabilities.
  • Facilitate periodic synchronization events.
  • Assist with economic decision-making by facilitating feature and capability estimation by teams and the roll-up to Epics, where necessary
  • Coach leaders, teams, and Scrum Masters in Lean-Agile practices and mindsets
  • Help manage risks and dependencies.
  • Escalate and track impediments.
  • Provide input on resourcing to address critical bottlenecks.
  • Encourage collaboration between teams and System and Solution Architects/Engineering
  • Work with Product and Solution Management, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to help ensure strategy and execution alignment.
  • Improve the flow of value through value streams by improving and assessing the practices associated with DevOps and Release on Demand in the Continuous Delivery Pipeline
  • Help drive the Lean User Experience (UX) innovation cycle.
  • Facilitate System Demos and Solution Demos
  • Drive relentless improvement via Inspect and Adapt workshops; assess the agility level of the ART and Solution Train and help them improve.
  • Foster Communities of Practice and the use of engineering and Built-In Quality practices

Pay and Benefits:                                                                                                    

  • The salary for this position is $49.00 per hour (Max Pay rate).
 
Job Requirements

 
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelors' Degree in Computer Science or engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience with team leadership experience
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience with agile lifecycle management tools such as Jira and Azure DevOps
  • Minimum of 5 years' Experience leading software teams using Agile development methodology
  • Minimum of 5 years' Experience using Microsoft Office Products such as PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • SAFe 5 Certification
  • Experience writing C++, C#, Java, or JavaScript
  • Experience with Angular JS, Node, Ext.js
  • Experience writing Ruby on Rails
  • Experience writing Python Scripts
  • Experience using OpenGL or WebGL
  • Experience working with service-based architectures
  • Experience with cloud environments such as AWS or Azure
  • IAT Level 2 Certification (e.g. Security +)
  • Experience with GDAL, GeoServer, OpenLayers or ESRI APIs
  • Experience with OGC Standards such as WMS, WFS, WPS, WCS, GeoPackage, 3D Tiles, IS3, or CDB
  • Experience with Presagis Products such as Terra Vista or Creator
  • Experience with HTML, HTML5, CSS, XML, XSLT, and JSON
  • Experience with development methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, or TSP
  • Modeling and simulation technologies such as SE Core CVEM, AVCATT, CCTT, JCATS, JTLS, MTWS, MUSE, VBS2, VBS3, CACCTUS, JSAF, OneSAF, JLCCTC
  • Experience with gaming technologies such as Unity 3D, Epic Unreal OBJ, FBX, Improbable SpatialOS, and similar capabilities
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations..

Additional Information:

  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.

  • Must be able to travel CONUS and to International sites for extended periods
  • Must be able to travel via car and airplane.
