Required Skills / Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science
- Minimum of 8 years' hands-on experience supporting enterprise server, storage or backup solutions
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
- Master's degree
- Hands-on administration experience with NetApp storage systems
- Experience with Rubrik
- Experience with automation and scripting methods (such as PowerShell, Ansible)
- Experience with public cloud technologies such as Azure
- Expert knowledge creating and running scripts to automate repetitive processes
- Senior level knowledge of access, permissions and security related to backup or storage systems
- Excellent skills and experience in multiple IT fields, applications and domains
- Ability to write policies, procedures, and create system documentation
- Subject Matter Expert (SME) skills and knowledge of one or more backup or storage related technologies
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
- Broad application of storage or backup principles, theories, and concepts
- Solid understanding of server operating systems and basic network principles
- Ability to understand and apply standard policies and procedures and provide input for the creation of detailed work instructions
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, with non-technical and technical audiences
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively with a wide range of individuals including technical and non-technical staff
- Ability to work individually and collaboratively as part of a high-performing team
- Ability to exercise judgment within defined policies and practices and work under limited direction
- Demonstrates the ability to identify risks and suggest remediation plans
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
