Acara is looking for a Systems Engineer with our client in Vandenberg AFB, CA. 

  • A focus on one or more of the following Systems Engineering Functional Areas (Testing, Requirements Analysis, Integration, Specialty Engineering, and Systems Architecture) is expected:  Develops, implements, and maintains developmental and operational acceptance test plans, procedures and reports.
  • Assist team on moderately complex projects or phases of significant projects; coordinates the efforts of technical support staff in the performance of assigned projects 
  • Analyzes and resolves program support deficiencies 
  • Assists in the design and requirements development/verification process Identify system architecture needs and assists development of enterprise architecture items to be produced in support of assigned projects such as DODAF drawing generation 
  • Ensure the as-designed system requirements allocated to the project meet Human Factors and Safety Hazard requirements and develop associated analyses, as required 
  • Assists in developing and implementing training tools and documentation
Job Requirements

Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering or computer science or management information systems
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in systems engineering (Requirements, Test, specialty engineering, or Systems Architecture)
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience working with Windows based computer systems, components, and Office tool suite
  • Minimum of 4 years' RF experience
  • Active Secret Clearance

  • Ability to integrate moderately complex hardware and software systems

  • Experience with architecture documentation processes and tools such as DoDAF version 1.5 or 2.0 and System Architect (or equivalent tool)
  • Experience with Dynamic Object Oriented Requirements System (DOORS)
