ACARA Solutions and our Defense client in Scottsdale, AZ have two contract to hire positions available.

Senior Advanced Systems Engineer (Ground Systems Management)

Hybrid/Flex/Onsite 9/80 work week (every other Friday off) 
  • As a systems engineer for the SDA GMI (Ground Management) program, you'll be a member of a cross-functional team responsible for developing and deploying the state-of-the-art ground operational system.
  • Performs design of networks, with working knowledge of networking protocols
  • Performs detailed technical analyses for a software subsystem or system elements.
    • Experience in researching and analyzing data, such as vendor products, COTS components, GFE/CFE, specifications, and manuals to determine the feasibility of design or application.
    • Minimum of 8 years' experience in Requirements analysis, requirements definition, requirements management, functional analysis, performance analysis, and system design and definition.
 
Job Requirements

 
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering or Science or Engineering or Mathematics
  • Minimum 8 years of art negotiation and meeting challenging customer requirements with win-win solutions experience
  • Minimum of 8 years experience in researching and analyzing data, such as vendor products, COTS components, GFE/CFE, specifications, and manuals to determine the feasibility of design or application
  • Minimum of 8 years experience in Requirements analysis, requirements definition, requirements management, functional analysis, performance analysis, and system design and definition.
  • Minimum of 8 years' experience in supporting the generation of technical engineering products by using the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the system development life cycle
  • Minimum of 8 years experience in Facilitates discussions with senior levels of Customer Stakeholders

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree
  • Ground operations experience
  • Satellite constellations contact planning experience
  • Experience in Software functional analysis and interface definitions, including Application Programming Interface
  • Demonstrated Satellite communications knowledge
  • Satellite communications knowledge
  • Ground to Satellite communication knowledge
  • Creative thinker with demonstrated success leading the systems development life cycle
  • Collaborative team player eager to provide technical leadership and position others for success
  • Thorough knowledge of technology trends and willingness to champion new ideas and process improvements
  • Presentation and communications skills
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development for yourself and others
