ACARA Solutions and our Defense client in Scottsdale, AZ have two contract to hire positions available.
Senior Advanced Systems Engineer (Ground Systems Management)
Hybrid/Flex/Onsite 9/80 work week (every other Friday off)
- As a systems engineer for the SDA GMI (Ground Management) program, you'll be a member of a cross-functional team responsible for developing and deploying the state-of-the-art ground operational system.
- Performs design of networks, with working knowledge of networking protocols
- Performs detailed technical analyses for a software subsystem or system elements.
- Experience in researching and analyzing data, such as vendor products, COTS components, GFE/CFE, specifications, and manuals to determine the feasibility of design or application.
- Minimum of 8 years' experience in Requirements analysis, requirements definition, requirements management, functional analysis, performance analysis, and system design and definition.
Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering or Science or Engineering or Mathematics
- Minimum 8 years of art negotiation and meeting challenging customer requirements with win-win solutions experience
- Minimum of 8 years experience in researching and analyzing data, such as vendor products, COTS components, GFE/CFE, specifications, and manuals to determine the feasibility of design or application
- Minimum of 8 years experience in Requirements analysis, requirements definition, requirements management, functional analysis, performance analysis, and system design and definition.
- Minimum of 8 years' experience in supporting the generation of technical engineering products by using the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the system development life cycle
- Minimum of 8 years experience in Facilitates discussions with senior levels of Customer Stakeholders
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
- Master's Degree
- Ground operations experience
- Satellite constellations contact planning experience
- Experience in Software functional analysis and interface definitions, including Application Programming Interface
- Demonstrated Satellite communications knowledge
- Satellite communications knowledge
- Ground to Satellite communication knowledge
- Creative thinker with demonstrated success leading the systems development life cycle
- Collaborative team player eager to provide technical leadership and position others for success
- Thorough knowledge of technology trends and willingness to champion new ideas and process improvements

Additional Information:
