Acara Solutions is seeking a tenured FPGA Electrical Design Engineer for our Aerospace, DoD mfg client in Gilbert, AZ. This role is 'Contractor to Direct Hire' / $95 - 100/HR pay rate*  / 40-hour work week.  For top-talent FPGA Electrical Engineer candidates the Sr, Hiring Managers will review resumes and interview to fill this urgent lead technical role.

Job Title: FPGA Electrical Design Engineer 

Compensation Range: $95 - 100/HR (Based upon experience + education*)

Work Schedule: 

  • 7:30am to 5:00pm : Monday - Thursday 
  • 7:30am to 4:00pm : 1st +  3rd Friday/Month (Off 2nd +  4th Friday/Month)

Project Type: Contract to Direct Hire / 40-hour work week / 1st Shift

Location: Onsite at Gilbert, AZ location

Time to Fill: ASAP

FPGA Electrical Design Engineer responsibilities "At-a-Glance":
  • Technical development of FPGA designing and testing
  • Manage the work designs of embedded FPGAs for targeted for spacecraft electronics
  • Work to develop conceptual designs and perform trade studies
  • Generate FPGA design requirements and architecture diagrams
  • Develop HDL code and test benches for FPGAs
  • Perform design analysis for compliance requirements and design best practices
  • Phase processing for Board Bring-Up and troubleshooting in the lab environment
 
Job Requirements

 
Required Work Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:
  • BS Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of FPGA design and coding development 
  • 5+ years of Static Timing Analysis (STA) and Self-checking test bench experience
  • Experience working with VHDL, ModelSim/Questa Sim and Clock Domain Crossing Analysis, OSVVM
  • Working in large manufacturing setting and wide range of electrical components

  Additional information for this role:
  • Upon offer of employment, must successfully pass background checks and 2 drug screens
