Description

Acara Solutions is seeking a Part Time Project Assistant in Boston, MA for our client, a global organization providing innovative and sustainable transportation solutions! 

 

We are seeking qualified candidates with:

 

  • A background in project administration 
  • Experience communicating with clients 
  • Strong reporting capabilities 

 

Here's what you'll do:

  • Collects, maintains and distributes all technical documents necessary for installation, testing, configuration and operation of MBTA's new Train Control systems
  • Develops and maintains a comprehensive filing system and computer database for all documents to be retained in the document control center
  • Manages the operation of the document control center to ensure that all users have the latest revision of appropriate documentation in a timely manner
  • Performs clerical typing duties to generate documents as necessary 
  • Interfaces with engineering team and field testers
  • Willingness to learn and be part of a team building the next generation of Train Control technology

 

Type: Contract (12 months) to Direct  

Pay: $25/hr.

Hours: Part time, M-F 24 hours per week (1st shift)

Job Requirements

 

Required Skills / Qualifications:

 

  • High School Diploma. 
  • Minimum 5 years' project administration experience, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience using Microsoft Office products. 

 

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:

 

  • Two years of college or technical school preferred. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

Additional Information:
  • Must be open to travel site visits when needed, weekends or evenings.
