Acara Solutions is seeking highly qualified candidates to work Onsite with our client in Grapevine, TX. Interested?

Here's what you'd do: 

  • Responsible for the operational performance of their assigned area including quality, productivity, and on-time delivery.
  • The Manufacturing Engineer contributes to the elimination of waste in all aspects of manufacturing by combining engineering training with lean manufacturing principles and a focus on quality to drive waste out of the production system. 
  • Works as a member of a team to contribute to continuous improvement activities throughout our facility.
  • Provide oversight of the manufacture of products to ensure that engineering documentation is consistent with manufacturing and service methods employed.
  • Work within the company policies to manage the aspects of new product introduction.
  • Verify performance validation tests for introduction into the Production Test.
  • Determine the root cause of handling problems of products.
  • Assist with Assembly and Test personnel training.
  • Provide leadership and commitment in supporting continuous improvements in quality, productivity, and delivery performance by deploying a continuous improvement framework.
  • Supports Environmental Health and Safety projects to promote a Zero Incident Safety Culture.
  • Manage all assigned projects in support of division, plant, and project objectives.
  • Develop approaches to solving problems in processes, tooling, equipment, facilities, and cost.
  • Plans, details, and implements required industrialization methods, tooling, and equipment in the manufacturing and service operation.
  • Appropriate and track expense and capital expenditures within planned budgets.
  • Develop and implement cost reductions to meet or exceed departmental and plant goals.
  • Design, develop, and implement new manufacturing processes to support customer products.
  • Develop application software and tooling for a comprehensive set of complex machines and mechanical process steps within a manufacturing sector.
  • Implement the plan and lead the assessment of the capability of machines and process applications using the Design of Experiments and statistical methods across the full manufacturing process, ensuring maximum utilization of critical resources, maximum throughput, minimum cost, and capacity growth.
  • Lead disciplined process for solving complex single-stage or multistage product, process, component, and related problems that affect the efficient operation and/or manufacture of products through the full manufacturing process.
  • Project Management - Ability to manage a single-line engineering project with a limited number of participants. 
  • Create a project/change management plan, establish, and distribute project roles, and communicate what is needed from the project participants to make the project successful.

Job Requirements

 
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in Electronic Manufacturing Engineering role

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • PLC and HMI programming and interface 
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing process structure.
  • Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement Kaizen Leadership
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work well with tight schedules and rapid development cycles.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with a professional and credible demeanor.
  • Ability to effectively communicate concepts with various levels of the organization.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Requires hands-on, ambition, and drive to succeed - “Makes things happen”.
  • Be goal-oriented and accustomed to achieving results through teamwork.

Additional Information:

  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen. 
  • Be able to work occasional overtime.
  • Flexible to work overtime for special projects or business support.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly needed to sit for long periods. 
  • Be able to lift objects approximately up to 25 lbs. 
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. 
  • Be able to tolerate moderate to high noise levels in a warehouse environment. 
  • Office and outside environmental conditions found in the warehouse, hot in the summer, cold in the winter. 
  • Individuals may need to walk for an extensive period while working and walking the facilities; to reach over-shoulder heights; bend or stoop below the waist; repetitive wrist, hand, or finger movement.
