Description

The Marketing Manager's primary responsibilities include leading marketing communication and promotion for existing and new programs, services, and products, as well as special project assignments. Secondary responsibilities include supporting other organizational functions related to strategic planning, fundraising, grants administration, finance and investment programs, mentoring services, partner and vendor engagement and management, and related projects. 

Major Functions: 
  • With direction from supervisor, develop and implement marketing communications and promotion plan; maintain and update plan on regular basis to reach priority audiences and support organizational goals.
  • Deliver tactical activities associated with marketing communications and promotion plan, including digital and in person event management, outreach communications, original content development, vendor and partner management; encompass digital and print communications vehicles existing today (social media via linkedin, twitter, facebook, monthly twitterchats, monthly newsletter, listserves), and new vehicles 
  • Engage and coordinate with client companies and Entrepreneurs-in-Residence regarding marketing communications and public relations opportunities and needs.
  • Develop and manage partner, contractor, and vendor relationships with direction of supervisor.
  • Participate in development, refinement, and reporting from Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
  • Create and manage documentation related to marketing communications and promotion activities and assets.
  • In addition to marketing communications and promotion, support team on as needed basis with strategic planning, fundraising, and operational processes.
  • Coordinate with partner organizations and ecosystem activities, sponsorship, and events.
  • Coordinate with internal personnel to support organizational needs in finance, accounting, product development, grants administration, IT and CRM systems, fundraising, marketing, EIR and related programming, and other areas.
  • Interface with legal counsel as needed to address duties.
  • Provide reporting on all functions to President and CEO and Board of Directors, as needed.
  • Manage personnel as assigned by President and CEO.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by President and CEO.
 
Job Requirements

 
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Five years' experience in relevant roles in marketing communications and public relations. 
  • Three years of experience in delivering marketing communications through digital tools and platforms, such as social media, webinars, and related.

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Mastery of desktop publishing and design applications and tools.
  • Experience in supporting administration of entrepreneurship and/or business assistance programs.
  • Experience implementing and using CRM.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and natural collaborative work style with strong skills in interacting via digital media and software tools, including Microsoft Office, social media, and website applications (e.g., Word Press) and other applications. 
  • Experience using desktop publishing and design applications and tools.
