Description

Do you have Manufacturing Engineer Supervision experience and seeking to better utilize and have your talents appreciated? Our client concentrates on precision machining of refractory and other exotic metals with a mission to exceed customers' exact requirements with the highest quality product. Business is growing and they are in immediate need of adding to their team.
 
Are you responsible for managing production and optimizing production flow? Do you have the know-how to provide technical support to the operations team? Are you goal driven and capable of maintaining a quality product while keeping production costs at a minimum?

Acara Solutions is seeking highly qualified candidates to work at our client site in Edgewood, NY.

Here's what you'll do:
    • Work directly with the VP of Operations
    • Supervise production staff
    • Daily hands-on production troubling shooting and problem resolution
    • Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and identifying areas for improvement
    • Prepare detailed job quotes within required deadlines
    • Organize and maintain job quote database
    • Read, analyze, and interpret blueprint drawings/specifications. CNC programming in Mastercam, Version 20 or higher. AutoCAD.
    • Source and implement manufacturing tools and fixtures 
 
Here's what you'll get:
Starting Pay: $40-$50/hr. DOE & open to negotiations.
Hours: Shift: 6:30am-4pm, M-F 
Length: DIRECT STAFF

Job Requirements

 
Required Skills / Qualifications:
1) Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering required 
2) Minimum of 1 years' machining experience in an engineering discipline.
3) Minimum 1 years' experience with supervisory responsibilities 
4) At least 2 years' read, analyze, and interpret blueprint drawings/specifications
5) At least 2 years' CNC programming in Mastercam, Version 2020 or higher. AutoCAD.
6) At least 2 years' recent MS Office Suite software
7) Minimum 1 years' non-conformance documentation and inspection procedures.

1) Excellent management and organization skills
2) Strong analytical skills
3) Excellent problem-solving skills
4) Ability to work independently, prioritize workload & meet critical deadlines under pressure
5) Strong written and verbal communications skills
6) Effective team player, good coaching skills and can develop other co-workers 
7) Solid understanding of Lean philosophies and techniques 
8) 5-Axis knowledge preferred
9) Cutting oil experience
10) Blueprint development for quoting processes.
11) Purchasing of new manufacturing machines, inspection tools, and related shop equipment.
