Description

Acara Solutions is hiring a Mechanical Assembler for our client in Bloomington, MN!

 

We are seeking qualified candidates with:

  • Electrical/mechanical assembly experience
  • Experience with semi-automatic machines
  • The ability to to read and interpret drawings 

 

Here's what you'll do:

  • Perform difficult assembly of complicated electrical/mechanical units and sub-units with minimal supervision.
  • Operate from drawings, sketches, specifications and various machine equipment.
  • Use a variety of gauges and fixtures for precision fits.
  • Handle units of medium to heavy weight.
  • Inspect finished products and ensure they meet quality standards set by the Company.
  • Execute simplified procedure with the Company ERP system (Microsoft Navision) in order to keep track of the production progress.
  • Ensure a clean and clutter-free workspace (workbench or machine station).
  • Review incoming pick lists and materials to ascertain shortages.
  • Report and record shortages.
  • Responsible for maintaining monthly schedule of assigned products and identify obstacles to supervisor.

 

Type: Direct Placement

Hours: M-F 7:30am-4:00pm

Pay: Up to $22/hr. **Depending on experience

Job Requirements
 

Required Skills / Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 3+ years' electrical/mechanical assembly experience, ideally with semi-automatic machines.
  • 3+ years' experience reading blueprints and using hand tools.  

 

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:

  • Mechanically-inclined. 
  • Strong work ethic. 
  • Ability to work independently and within a team-environment. 

 

Additional Information:

Work is performed from blueprints, diagrams, process prints, build to print drawings, specifications, or verbal instructions dependent upon unit or sub-unit to meet POA options, variable, or modifications.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to remain standing up to 3 hours (if required by the production process), handle units of medium weight (up to 30 Lbs), and wear steel toed shoes if required.
