Description

Acara Solutions is seeking a Controller for our client, a manufacturer in Welcome, NC!


We are seeking qualified candidates with:

  • Experience as a Controller in the manufacturing industry
  • Working knowledge of cost accounting
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills


Here's what you'll do:

  • Perform various account postings and reconciliations.
  • Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) documentation and compliance.
  • Prepare complex financial analyses for various business opportunities, asses associated risks, and make recommendations.
  • Assist and advise management in the evaluation of financial aspects of existing and proposed business ventures (cash flow, ROI, capital requirements, pricing, etc.).
  • Prepare and complete Monthly Financial Package prior to month end close.
  • Prepare and submit annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and weekly flash forecasts.
  • Provide and analyze financial information for annual external audits.
  • Monthly reconciliation of balance sheet items and bank reconciliations.
  • Ensure plant reports are accurate and issued within deadlines as required by management or government agencies.
  • Determine work procedures, prepare work schedules, and expedite work flow.
  • Track and report purchasing experience and headcount monthly, and compare to budget.
  • Perform Ad hoc financial analyses as requested.
  • Establish and modify documents, and coordinate implementation of accounting and control procedures.
  • Comply with company, OSHA, Operational, and Quality standards.


Type: Direct Placement 

Pay: Up to $120K/yr. **Depending on experience 

Hours: M-F 8:00am-5:00pm **100% Onsite

Job Requirements
 
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
  • 5+ years' experience as a Controller in the manufacturing industry.

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Completion of the CMA or CPA.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP/IFRS.
  • Working knowledge of financial and non-financial measurement systems, lean manufacturing practices, and cost management systems.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office & Accounting software.
