Description

Acara Solutions has been providing staffing related services to advanced manufacturing firms throughout the country for 65 years. Our Global PCBA manufacturing client is looking for a Plant Controller to join their organization in Stafford Springs, CT. This is a salaried direct position. The salary range is $140K - $150K plus bonus. This is an onsite position due to the nature of the position working with the manufacturing floor.

Due to a promotion to Regional Controller, one of this organization's largest plants has this Controller opening. It's a small team consisting of the Assistant Controller (the only direct report), Controller and VP of Finance. The position will be working closely with the plant GM and the COO nearby that used to be the plant's GM. There will be a fair amount of dealings with these two senior leaders. One needs to be comfortable with frequent interaction with senior management and the 'stresses' that go along with quick response requests, etc.

In addition to the position requiring a fair amount of manufacturing firm costing experience, it requires a background in the more complex Standard Costing with Variances. A candidate with actual costing or average costing at a smaller operation is not a match without standard costing experience. The ideal candidate will have had a hands-on background in cost accounting within a sizeable manufacturing firm, not just handing off the work to a cost accountant.
