Acara Solutions is seeking highly qualified candidates to work ONSITE with our customers in Welcome, NC  

Interested?

Here's what you'd do:
  • Design and program the entire automation process from start of project to completion, including direct responsibility for complete implementation.
  • Assist project engineers in identifying and assessing potential applications of company projects and services to meet customer needs and preparing project specified documentations.
  • Collect and process information from drawings, Customers, the Production Team, and Management to develop and program new robotic application processes.
  • Work on multi line projects as part of a team.
  • Responsible for the job being completed on time and functioning safely, all within the quoted cycle time.
  • Ensure that the final design meets approved standards and specifications.
  • Program the robots, conduct testing and ensure the robots run efficiently.
  • Responsible for the basic integration and teaching of robots and supporting the engineering team to conduct robotic/automation testing. 
  • Offline Programming (OLP) simulation experience with products such as RoboGuide, Delfoi, or DTPS. 
  • Uploading OLP's from simulation, setting payloads, and point touch-up. 
  • Maintain and troubleshoot existing programs
     *    Use HMI (Human Machine Interface) navigation and minor programming.
     *    Use of programmable logic control systems (PLC's) to program and troubleshoot automated equipment.
  • Troubleshoot, service and repair robotic systems, using knowledge of microprocessors, programmable controllers, mechanics, sensor or feedback systems, hydraulics, or pneumatics etc.
  • Identification of new opportunities for automation within the manufacturing processes.
  • Always support and promote proper use of required personal protective equipment.
  • Utilize lean manufacturing principles to establish optimal assembly and fabrication methods.
  • Analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and establish quality and reliability objectives of finished product.
  • Lead improvement teams, applying Six Sigma, Lean, 5S and other operational excellence techniques to achieve improvements.
  • Confer with management, engineering, and other staff regarding automation capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate improved production processes.
  • Follow and comply with all Operational Procedures and policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook, Quality and Environment programs (i.e., IATF, ISO 14001)
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Knowledge of HMI programming with brands such as Automation Direct and Allen-Bradley panels.
  • Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting with brands such as Allen-Bradley, Datalogic, and Siemens.

Job Requirements

 
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Associate degree in EET with a focus in mechatronics or 3-5 years experience with industrial automation applications.
  • Knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and network design required as well as a thorough knowledge of the safety requirements related to automated processes.
  • Understanding of robot integration 
  • Hands-on experience in robotics and robotics troubleshooting 
  • Experience with any of the following is considered a strong asset: Fanuc, Panasonic, Allen-Bradley, Datalogic, Automation Direct, and Siemens. 
  • Robot I/O capabilities and PLC communication protocols.
  • Experience with simulation tools and DCS settings.
  • Strategic thinker and effective problem solver
  • Perceptive, responsible, and accountable 
  • Team player

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Experience in robot programming and automated welding processes 
  • Creo experience is preferred.
