Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work hybrid with our client in Orlando, FL. Interested?

 

 Here's what you'd do:

  • The position is for a System Safety engineer supporting special program development efforts. This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing the System Safety Program Plan per MIL-STD-882 to include various hazard analyses such as System Requirements Hazard Analysis, Preliminary Hazard Analysis, Safety Critical Items List, and Safety Assessment Report.
  • The candidate works with systems and software engineering on architecture definition and use cases supporting Cameo modeling.
  • A successful candidate will spend the majority of the time working in a team environment, with direction and guidance provided by a senior team member.
  • Support the program by developing hazard analyses.
  • Presentation material to support System Requirements Review (SRR) and Preliminary Design Reviews (PDR)
  • Assist in requirements development and verification methods.
  • Interacts well in a team atmosphere with engineers, suppliers, program managers, and customers.

 

Here's what you'll get:

Pay: $62.88 Hourly OT40.

Hours: 4/10-1st Shift.

Length: Temp (12 Months).

Job Requirements

 
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
  • Minimum of 6 years experience with System Safety MIL-STD-882
  • Minimum of 6 years experience in Hazard Analysis

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Experienced with MS Office applications, including a high level of proficiency with Access and Excel.
  • Prior experience with shoulder-fired missiles and man-rating processes/approvals.
  • Candidate should be a self-starter capable of performing tasks with little direction.
  • Practical analytical problem-solving skills and the ability to perform detail-oriented work with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Familiarity with Cameo.
  • Familiar with conducting various hazard analyses.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.

Additional Information:

  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
  • Active Secret DoD Clearance.
