Here's what you'd do:
- The position is for a System Safety engineer supporting special program development efforts. This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing the System Safety Program Plan per MIL-STD-882 to include various hazard analyses such as System Requirements Hazard Analysis, Preliminary Hazard Analysis, Safety Critical Items List, and Safety Assessment Report.
- The candidate works with systems and software engineering on architecture definition and use cases supporting Cameo modeling.
- A successful candidate will spend the majority of the time working in a team environment, with direction and guidance provided by a senior team member.
- Support the program by developing hazard analyses.
- Presentation material to support System Requirements Review (SRR) and Preliminary Design Reviews (PDR)
- Assist in requirements development and verification methods.
- Interacts well in a team atmosphere with engineers, suppliers, program managers, and customers.
Here's what you'll get:
Pay: $62.88 Hourly OT40.
Hours: 4/10-1st Shift.
Length: Temp (12 Months).

- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
- Minimum of 6 years experience with System Safety MIL-STD-882
- Minimum of 6 years experience in Hazard Analysis
- Experienced with MS Office applications, including a high level of proficiency with Access and Excel.
- Prior experience with shoulder-fired missiles and man-rating processes/approvals.
- Candidate should be a self-starter capable of performing tasks with little direction.
- Practical analytical problem-solving skills and the ability to perform detail-oriented work with a high degree of accuracy.
- Familiarity with Cameo.
- Familiar with conducting various hazard analyses.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
Additional Information:
- Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
- Active Secret DoD Clearance.
