Acara Solutions is seeking for  Government Audit Finance and Compliance Analyst to work Hybrid with our client in Indianapolis, IN. Interested?


Here's what you'd do:

  • As a government audit finance and compliance analyst with the client, you will work with a broader group of financial and compliance analysts within the government finance team. 
  • This team supports all Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) audits and assists in other government accounting and compliance functions.
  • Ensuring prompt and accurate responses to the Requests for Information (RFI'S) from the DCAA or the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) in support of the needed Business and Financial audits
  • Utilizing education and experience to learn quickly on the job
  • Retrieving supporting documentation to substantiate proposed or claimed costs on government contracts, both electronically and physically
  • Working with employees and auditors with differing levels of experience and knowledge
  • Adapting to changing priorities and clarifying ambiguous audit requests
  • Liaising with the DCAA auditor to clarify requests and explain supporting documentation
  • Reconciling supporting detailed data to submitted summary data
  • Participating in reviews of expenses for adherence to Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 31 for allowable cost determination
  • Create an enduring network.
  • Performing SAP downloads, data mining, and analyzing data to support government requests, as needed.
  • Tracking and organizing Government Requests for Information (RFI`s) to assist response timeliness
  • Organizing and maintaining project files and supporting documentation
  • Handling various ad hoc requests in an efficient and timely manner


Here's what you'll get:

Starting Pay: $33/ hr.

Hours: 40 hrs/Week

Length: Contract (4 Months)

Job Requirements

Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Associate Degree in Accounting or Business or Finance
  • Minimum 6 years experience with accounting principles and processes and familiarity with audit testing and substantiation requirements
  • Minimum 6 years of SAP Moderate level report download experience.

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor`s Degree in Accounting or Business or Finance 
  • Master`s Degree in Accounting or Business or Finance
  • Prior exposure to Government Cost Principles and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS): FAR DFARS and CAS
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge Pivot Tables/VLookup /HLookup
