 Senior Advanced Software Engineer 

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior CI/CD Pipeline Engineer to join our team. This role demands a robust background in CI/CD pipeline development, test automation, and missile warning/tracking system integration. The ideal candidate will also bring extensive DevSecOps expertise and proficiency with a variety of platforms and tools. This position requires collaboration across various teams and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to executive leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
  • CI/CD Pipeline Development: Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline software delivery and enhance automation.
  • Test Automation: Develop and manage automated test frameworks and execute comprehensive test plans to ensure high-quality software.
  • Missile Warning/Tracking Systems: Integrate, test, and operate missile warning and tracking systems, leveraging 5 years of hands-on experience.
  • DevSecOps: Utilize your expertise in DevSecOps to manage and optimize security practices within development pipelines using tools such as AWS, GitLab, Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, Ansible, and Terraform.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to support project goals, troubleshoot issues, and drive improvements.
  • Communication: Present technical information clearly and effectively to executive leadership, addressing remediation, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Innovation: Apply advanced decision-making skills to drive creative and innovative solutions, continuously improving processes and practices.
Required Qualifications:
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in CI/CD pipeline development, test automation, missile warning/missile tracking system integration, and DevSecOps.
  • Technical Proficiency: Extensive experience with platforms and tools such as AWS, GitLab, Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, Ansible, and Terraform.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Demonstrated subject matter expertise in multiple technical fields related to the role.
  • Communication Skills: Proven ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and influence decision-making in sensitive situations.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced Degree: Master's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Agile Experience: Familiarity with Agile methodologies and practices.
  • Ground Operations: Experience with ground operations related to missile systems or satellite communications.
  • Satellite Communications: Knowledge of ground-to-satellite communication systems.
  • Leadership Communication: Extensive skills in presenting to executive leadership and managing critical communications.
  • Creative Decision-Making: Ability to approach challenges with creativity and innovation.

Job Requirements
 
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering or Science or Engineering or Mathematics.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in CI/CD pipeline development
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in Test automation
  • Minimum 5 years of Missile Warning/Missile Tracking system integration, test, and operations experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of DevSecOps experience with some of the following platforms/tools:
    1. AWS
    2. GitLab
    3. Kubernetes
    4. Docker
    5. Jenkins
    6. Ansible
    7. Terraform

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree
  • Agile experience.
  • Ground operations experience
  • Satellite communications knowledge
  • Ground to Satellite communication knowledge
  • Ability to change the thinking of, or gain acceptance from, others in sensitive situations, without damage to the relationship
  • Extensive communication skills for interaction with executive leadership on items of significant importance (remediation, risk mgt, regulatory compliance).
  • Extensive ability to present in clear and certain terms.
  • Subject matter expert in multiple fields.
  • Creative, innovative responsibilities requiring advanced decision-making skills.
  • Familiar with Agile philosophies and processes.
