Pay Rate: $21/hr. + $1.25 for Night Shift.
Duration: 12+ months 
Shift: Day 7am-7pm, Night: 7pm- 7am
Benefits: 10% pay increase at 6 months of employment

Responsibilities:

Carry out pre-move inspections on Light rail vehicles.

Control and operate the light rail vehicles in specified zones, with respect to operation and quality procedures.

Assist and facilitate train moves by acting as watch person, and cranking the switches in the yard

Participate in the rescue operations of the vehicle, in case of accident or Major failures

Attend regular team briefings

Report accidents/incidents

Adhere to Company procedures especially in relation to Quality and Health & Safety

Prepare and deliver requested reports as and when required

Participate in train maintenance activities, such as coupling /decoupling trains, following the company procedure

Assist with manual train move by operating rail car movers or acting as watchperson.

Comply with all company policies, procedures and guidelines

Assist maintenance team in repairing and troubleshooting the train whenever required

Assist the maintenance activities in the yard and guideways, such as snow cleaning

Could be trained in additional scope of work during the life of the contract

Perform other assigned duties as required.

 

Candidate Requirements

1 to 2 years' experience as technical experience

Educational background in mechanical, electrical or electromechanical

Knowledge of Rail / Vehicle environment is preferable

Working knowledge of Quality and Health & Safety standards
